Thanks to all of you who have signed up on the Voters website or have emailed us about helping with tomorrow’s activities.

Just to clear up any confusion, the technical term for those of you helping is not “poll watcher,” but instead “candidate representative.” A “poll watcher” must have a signed letter and wear a badge. A “candidate representative” does not have to have one.

Those of you who have signed up will be emailed a list tonight of Ron Paul supporters in your county. As a “candidate representative” all you have to do is print the list, show up at the precinct tomorrow morning and tell them that you are a “candidate representative” and that you would like to look at the voter books. You will then take your list, go down the rolls and highlight the voters the Ron Paul campaign has identified as supporters. You can then leave, go do whatever you need to do, and call the voters that you highlighted and remind them to vote. After a few hours you can then go back to the polling location, check the rolls again, black out the ones that have already voted, and then call the ones that haven’t and remind them again.

Remember, you are not a “poll watcher,” but a “candidate representative.” If the Chairman tells you that you need to have a badge and a signed letter, just refer them to page 28 of the “poll watcher” handbook. Page 28 states that the voter registration rolls are public property and that anyone is allowed to go in and see them. We have verified this with the election commission.

Those of you who have signed up will be emailed more information tonight when you get your list, but I just wanted to go ahead and clear up any confusion between “poll watchers” and “candidate representatives.”

Those of you who have not signed up, but would like to do so, please email your name, address, phone number, county and precinct to summer@ronpaul2008.com . This will only take about 3-4 hours of your time tomorrow and we need all the help we can get.

Remember, if you or anyone else needs a ride to the poll, just call one of our offices and we’ll have someone come and get you.

227 years ago on this date, Daniel Morgan and his fellow American patriots triumphed in one of the greatest victories of the Revolutionary War; the Battle of Cowpens was a major turning point and ensured liberty, peace, and freedom from tyrannical rule for all of South Carolina.

Similarly to the Battle of Cowpens, South Carolina will once again emerge as the turning point of the revolution. However, in order to ensure personal liberties for generations to come as our forefathers so valiantly fought for, we need you help. Please send us names and phone numbers of every one you know that supports Dr. Paul in South Carolina. In addition, ask everyone you know and can get in touch with if they support Dr. Paul; pick up a phone book, canvass your neighborhood, go to your local grocery, whatever it takes. If they say yes, jot down their information, and if they say no, thank them and move on.

Also, if you could come into the Greenville, Columbia or Charleston office to help out it would be greatly appreciated. We have phones, a list and a very simple script for you to call with.

The importance of turning out the vote here in South Carolina can not be expressed in words. Identify everyone you can and e-mail us back the data you compile before Friday night. Our message is popular and is still spreading; over 50,000 thousand people in Michigan came out for the cause of liberty. Please, aid us in once again making South Carolina the major turning point and help us get out the vote!

Hello upcountry South Carolina Paul Patriots. This is an exciting week for the Ron Paul Campaign, and especially for you, because you have a chance to cast your vote for the next President of the United States of America.
I would like to introduce myself. My name is Meghann Walker and I am the newest staff member to the Ron Paul office in Greenville, South Carolina. I had been working in the Ron Paul office in Des Moines, Iowa for the past 3 months, and I am excited now to be in South Carolina to help in any way I can to turn out the vote for Ron Paul this Saturday, January 19th.
Since you are receiving this email, it means that you live in one of the counties that the Greenville office is coordinating. There are a few ways you can help turn out the vote for Dr. Paul this Saturday, January 19th.
First off go to this link: https://voters.ronpaul2008.com/grassroots/
This is a tool that the official campaign just launched to help you make a difference at the local level, your neighborhood (or precinct).

By signing up, you will have access to a map of your precinct and a list of all the registered voters in your precinct. The best way to turn out the vote on the local level is to give these people (your neighbors) a call. A calling script is available to download, but the easiest and simplest thing you can say to them is that you are their neighbor and why you are voting for Dr. Paul. You will be so surprised how effective this is, and how many more people YOU can get to vote for Dr. Paul this Saturday.

In addition we are going to have a conference call tomorrow night and Wednesday afternoon, to answer any questions you have:

Tuesday, January 15th: 8:00 PM (Eastern)
Wednesday, January 16th: 2:00 PM (Eastern)
All you have to do is call 1-800-611-6439
Your access code is: 2008#
If you have questions and cannot make any of these conference calls, please give me a call:

Meghann Walker
Office: 864-250-4382
Cell: 773-412-6631
Thanks for your dedication and all the time you have contributed to this campaign so far!
Sincerely,
Meghann Walker
South Carolina Field Coordinator
Ron Paul 2008 Presidential Campaign Committee

First off, thank you so much to those of you who have answered our call for this final push in South Carolina; a slew of volunteers came out across the state. The progress we are making with canvassing and phone banking is incredible, for example in one precinct a little over 20% said they planned on voting for Ron Paul! With more than 50% of the households not being home, that is almost half of the people we spoke with!! If you can spare some time, please, come out and join your fellow patriots in spreading our message.

Also, a few things in regards to being a Poll Watcher for the campaign. If you have not already done so, please contact either Joshua Huffman ( joshua.huffman@ronpaul2008.com) or Gloria Kwayisi (gloria.kwayisi@ronpaul2008.com ) with your name, address, and precinct name if you know it. For those of you who have already signed up, and all those who will after this post reminds them =] , there are a few things that you need to know before going out to the polls. You MUST stop by one of the offices to obtain a signed letter designating you as the Poll Watcher from our campaign. Furthermore, you MUST also obtain an I.D. Badge from one of our offices. Without these two things, you will not be permitted as a Poll Watcher. If you can not make it to one of our offices to pick these up, please contact them immediately so we can resolve any issues.

This past weekend I had the absolute pleasure of attending the South Carolina Republican Debate; one question and one answer really got my mind to start rolling. Carl Cameron asked Dr. Paul the ridiculous question, ”Congressman Paul, yet another question about electability. Do you have any, sir? There’s always the question as to whether or not you are, in fact, viable. Your differences with the rest of the Republicans on this stage has raised questions about whether or not you can actually win the Republican nomination, sir”. The response by Dr. Paul was completely spot on and generated the usual tremendous applause from the crowd.

Dr. Paul IS electable; Iowa and New Hampshire both were victories for the campaign which demonstrated that our message IS popular. The question of whether or not he can win the Republican nomination does not dwell within our message of freedom, peace, and prosperity - it resides squarely in the hearts of each and every one of you, our supporters. Without your votes and support nothing would be possible. These next 6 days are without a doubt amongst the most important we have confronted to date; around 25% of voters do not make up their mind until the final week before an election, with around 10% deciding the day before.

Will you help us prove the establishment media wrong? Will you help us show that Dr. Paul IS electable? Will you help us make one final push here in South Carolina to help ensure freedom for generations to come? There is much to be done this final week; phone calls, get out the vote efforts, canvassing, mailings, and much more. Without your help the mainstream media’s doubts of Dr. Paul being a viable candidate will be validated; we can not let this happen.

Six days and counting, that is all we have left. The quote “No, I won’t back down” that I referenced weeks ago remains true for myself and countless others I have met while in South Carolina. Please, if you have any spare time over these few days stop by and help us make this final push to win the Palmetto State.

Thank you and God Bless.

8 big screens indoors and 3 in the outdoor beer garden – Plus it’s the LIBERTY steakhouse. The food and drink at the Liberty is great, so plan to eat here to support the hospitality shown to Ron Paul Supporters by the staff and management at the Liberty Steakhouse and Brewery, Broadway at the Beach.
