Oregon Consumers and Farmers Association endorses Dr. Paul
The Oregon Consumers and Farmers Association has sent out the following press release:
May 5, 2008
For immediate release:
Following our Spring Strategy meeting, the officers of the Oregon Consumers and Farmers Association discussed the candidates running for various offices throughout the State of Oregon.
OCFA is an organization that seeks to protect the privacy and property rights of farmers and homesteaders and to preserve the right to direct transactions with consumers. OCFA works diligently to effect positive change throughout Oregon. We are affiliated with NICFA, the National Independent Consumers and Farmers Association and are pleased to offer our endorsement to Ron Paul running for President.
Dr. Paul shows a genuine concern for the People of Oregon. He is a champion of personal property rights and we feel shares our values of hard work and dedication. OCFA feels strongly that Ron Paul is the best person for President and strongly urges the People of Oregon to support him with your vote on Election Day.

And GO GO GO Oregon…

That is so very awesome! I sure hope Oregon has an excellent Ron Paul vote and numbers turn out!

Anything can happen in this election cycle. Continuing to get endorsements is VERY important. Fox news is reporting today that a list of nominees for the FEC has been presented to the Congress, and they are expecting the candidates to be seated by Memorial Day. This means that McCain’s violation of Campaign Finance laws will finally be scrutinized.

Great endorcement! Thank you OCFA.
May 7th, 2008 at 9:52 am
Encourageing that they think Ron Paul still has a chance to win..
I would give anything to have Ron as our president. I would feel such a sense of relief from the stressful conditions we are in right now..
I do know things could get worse for a time. It will take some time for the Markets to straighten out such as they have been manipulated for so long. If the market was true Gasoline would be 7.00 a gallon right now, so I was told by my stock broker yesterday. I sold all my entire stock portfolio yesterday..Pitiful as it was, I took the losses. (days (months) late and dollars short) I actually got mad at the broker while he joked about the fuel costs blaming China and India and suggested I ride a bike. I think he was just trying to be funny, but I was in no joking mood and he was coming off as an idot to me at the time..still glad I sold the stocks, especially the Valero stocks.

Great timing.
Sorry for the sarcasm.

Amazon is taking backorders for THE BOOK. I ordered 6 more and was told the books would ship May 31st. I think that is a maximum and will probably be sooner.

Sorry off topic, but check out Newt’s plea.
http://www.humanevents.com/article.php?print=yes&id=26376
He knows his party is doomed with the war mongers. Kind of looks like he’s trying to convince Republican’s to be more like Democrats like McCain.
Maybe Newt should be sent a book called: The Revolution, a Manifesto. Anyone have his address?
May 7th, 2008 at 12:06 pm
Way to go OCFA! As an Oregonian I am very proud to stand in support of Dr. Ron Paul and share the endorsement with all the good people of OFCA. Noone best represents and fights for true liberty and freedom like Dr. Paul. He is an intelligent man with great integrity unlike no other. I look forward to casting my vote for true change on May 20th! Go Ron GO!
May 7th, 2008 at 12:08 pm
Thanks Kevin in Mi
One of Newt’s suggestions:
“House Republicans Should Call an Emergency, Members-Only Conference
Faced with these election results, the House Republicans should hold an emergency members-only meeting. At the meeting, they should pose this stark choice: Real change or certain defeat.”
If this happens, Newt will get it straight from the horse’s mouth.
May 7th, 2008 at 12:24 pm
Janet,
I know exactly how you feel, over a period of about 2 weeks, I also got rid of most of my stocks, only to have some of them actually rebound again, but , I am a lot more comfortable now, and I paid off my house and car with some of the proceeds. Long term, that may prove to be the best thing I have ever done??
May 7th, 2008 at 1:50 pm
Beason, I think we did the right thing. I do feel a small sense of relief. If the market is manipulated that much, imagine the fall and the law suites to come. I just wish I had caught the wave when the feds injected that last bundle and the market jumped up. I finally caught up to the broker after the wave crashed..
Lucky you..I wish I had enough proceeds to pay off my mortgage! I can however pay off the charge cards and that will allow me to pay more on my mortgage each month! Maybe even purchase a few rolls of old silver dimes every so often.
Just to vent a little, and I hate to put this out there, but I’m depressed. The wind is gone from my sails, so to speak. I’ve been feeling this way for a long time, but it’s getting worse thinking that we may face another 4 to 8 years of an administration hell bent on destroying our country in every way conceivable..Republican or Democrat= Republicrat.
I know I’m not the only one who is feeling the despair, doom and gloom. I have had my hopes up with Ron Paul so much, and I’m trying to tell myself he can still win, but the disappointments with these primaries is getting to me. I think either they are false results..or am I in denial? Either way, it’s the same. Defeat.
What to do about it? My friends and family tell me to leave it all alone, forget about it, but that is impossible for me. I hate this helpless feeling and all those high and mightier in Washington could care less what condition the people are in physically or financially, but we are reflecting the health of this nation, still we are pay taxes we can not afford for it.
Ron Paul’s notion that we should abolish the income tax is just what this country needs right now. That would be the greatest relief!
God help us.
May 7th, 2008 at 1:57 pm
Janet,
You’re not alone. I think these are false results too. I am hopeful that even if we don’t win this election there will be big changes coming to Congress in 2010. I hope to be one of the new faces in the Capitol. I encourage you to seek office- any level. Even if we can start with a base of Ron Paul dog catchers it’s better than nothing. Continue going to the local caucuses. If no one else goes next year (since it’s an off year) we have a better chance of getting our agenda set.
Back on topic, that’s great news from Oregon. Seems to be a lot of smart folks there. My only regret is that Kyle in Oregon isn’t old enough to vote. If only all 16 year olds were like this guy. Keep up the good work Kyle!

Have you noticed as the economy tanks Obama; Clinton and McCain have no solutions that are credible. The message of Ron Paul continues to grow. His book has provided the policy communication Ron Paul’s message needs. Ron has and continues being an increased guest on MSM about the economy.
Who knows what can happen at Republican national convention. Enough Ron Paul delegates are going there. Suppose the economy continues to tank, McCain continues loosing favor with Republican base. At national convention, the national delegates including current McCain delegates could suspend the first ballot rules and vote for Ron Paul. We need to work super hard getting every possible Ron Paul national delegate. I read about 600 are going so far. The MSM reports 14 to 22 and this is **** reporting. In Minnesota, alone we have 14 national delegates to date and closet other Ron Paul supporters with our state convention yet to happen, and another 14 national delegates to select.
The facts are national delegates are the ticket, thus the national GOP is stamping on our progress. The GOP knows Ron Paul national delegates are far more than the MSM reported 14.
September is an eternity away in political events, so stay engaged and tuned to the political events. Even MSM is taking notice and reporting Ron Paul’s delegate success and continued slowing Republican support for McCain.
Remember this is a war for the minds and will of Americans.

EXCELLENT!!!!!
May 7th, 2008 at 3:43 pm
I remember hearing tell of a bunch of rebels standing at a bridge near Concord a long time ago. Shivering with anticipation, guts churning with fear they stood their ground and said no more to the worlds super power, THE worlds super power, can you imagine what gumption that took?! They had enough oppression and loss of freedoms. They knew the odds were against them, their life stood in the balance. Risking all they and their families had worked for they made a stand for truth and right. Even being defeated many times in the battles that came, our founders fought on and won.
Here we stand today, all of us who support Ron Paul, like General Washington’s men we must fight on even if we lose this battle. People, this election is but one battle in a long war, ONE battle. We are making our stand at the Concord Bridge, on the Walls of the Alamo, WE, stand in defiance to the oppressiveness of our government and hold the Constitution high for all to see. We are making a difference but we have to stop looking at this as the whole enchilada, this election is but one ingredient in the big picture.
Our movement can only be stopped if WE let it be. Don’t be short sighted, take the blinders off and look around, more people have become awakened by OUR movement and when this election is over no matter the outcome we have to continue to grow and push and fight! There is no plan B. Next?

I just got my ballot in the mail yesterday for Oregon. It was pretty cool to see my name on the ballot as a PCP (delegate). There was only one other person listed-I don’t know him, but I hope he is a Ron Paul supporter. This is my first time, so it should be interesting. I believe we have the PCP selection in July to decide who gets to go to St. Paul. I have an employee that has an Aunt in Lakeville (40 minutes away) that I can stay with-so I am READY TO RUMBLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLE!!! GOD SAVE US ALL, VOTE RON PAUL.

We can almost see the whites of their eyes.
May 7th, 2008 at 5:43 pm
It looks as if Hillary will be giving up soon. Obama is ahead in the delegate count and the Superdelegates are starting to swing toward Obama.
The Republicans seem to believe that a significant number of those voters that support Hillary will be reluctant to support Obama and will end up voting for McCain. Hopefully, when all is said and done the Republicans will be able to offer them a real reason to change parties.

I just emailed charlierose@pbs.org and politely asked that they have Ron on as a guest. It would be a huge ratings success if they did it, and having Ron talk at length to a very well-rounded and wise man like Charlie would be very interesting.

Thanks for the great news!
I bought 6 today from Amazon, which will be shipped May 27th or sooner. With this news, I’m going back and order 6 more.
I also emailed Charlie Rose and asked him to have Ron Paul on his show.

To Janet, and All the Revolutionaries,
I’ve often struggled with the prophecies of my religious faith, which tell me that evil will grow to massive strength, and over come good upon the earth, before the second coming of my savior. My dilemma has been, do I stand in the way of the evil, and prolong the second coming, or do I stand aside, and not prolong the coming reign of righteousness? After years of careful thought, and prayer, I have come to the conclusion that I must stand in the way of evil in all it’s forms, and do my level best in whatever realm of influence that I have. This by no means changes my belief of what is to come, and I know it will get worse before it gets better, (after all this is what has been prophesied) however I will, and do take pleasure in the small victories that happen around me. Take comfort in your accomplishments, and as it has been stated before, “no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should”. Long for truth, and liberty, and it shall be yours.
Viva La Revolution!
Viva Ron Paul!
May 7th, 2008 at 8:34 pm
Thanks to the Oregon Consumers and Farmers Association for their fine endorsement of Ron Paul.
I bought five copies of The Revolution - A Manisfesto today at a Barnes & Noble store here in Columbia, SC. I asked the clerk if they were selling well. She said that it was a funny thing but everyone was buying them in bulk.
May 7th, 2008 at 8:48 pm
Fritz,
You made me laugh out loud. Thanks I needed that.
May 7th, 2008 at 9:17 pm
Patty:
You’re most assuredly welcome! Buying these books and givng them out to people I think will be receptive has given me the same gratifying feeling I got when I voted for Ron Paul in our primary. Passing out slimjims to strangers has its place but when friends know that you have gone out of your way to get them a thoughtful, inspiring gift like this makes them more likely to take the message to heart. Evidently, from what the clerk said and from what others are posting here, I’m far from alone in that assessment.
May 7th, 2008 at 10:05 pm
Janet,
Sorry to get off topic again !! I know how you are feeling, I was a delegate to the Oklahoma State Convention last week end, where in spite of a lot of hard work by many people, we were trampled. I do see a hope for the future, but it really hurts, when you know that what we want is good for everyone, and all they do is ignore you or call you a kook. Don’t get so caught up in this that it ruins your everyday life, you need to stay positive, and get away from this long enough at times to keep your sanity. This is a team effort, so please let others worry for you at times while you take a break. Keep smiling and telling people what you know, our time is coming. nICk

I just saw a GREAT group of videos on youtube of a banned 20/20 interview w/john stossel. Too bad it wasn’t allowed to be seen by the general public. No doubt we would have gathered a lot of steam out of this one. One of the best interviews ever given by the good doc in my opinion. I think I have to go back and listen to them again. Excellent!

I’m probably one of the Oregonians that posts most on this site.
Oregonians support Ron Paul. The land of lush environment, bustling modern yet beautiful cities- our sky scrapers are among the more beautiful.
If I did not live in Oregon, I’d want to move here. I love to feel the rain… they say that God is in the rain. That He comes and washes away all the evil and sin for us to start anew.
Well… as some of you may know, I may not believe in “God”, but I do believe in love and hope; freedom and justice; security and rights. You know that when you feel a physical and mental yet also emotional need to love someone that is in your life, you know that even that alone is a feeling worth fighting for.
Let us band together and save this nation from jaws of destruction and malevolence. If not for ourselves, then for the ones whom we love, and those who may come after us.
I bought The Manifesto which has recently dropped in rank at Amazon because they ran out of sales. It may speak of gloom and greed, a manifestation of destruction and selfishness. But it also is backed by a message of hope- hope for America, and the hope that we may one day soon be again free… as well as the ones whom we love.
Oregonians support Ron Paul, and the reclamation of freedom he promises to bring.
May 8th, 2008 at 2:39 am
Oh, forgot to note that I thought this endorsement was really great. I’m glad to see that there are people and groups in OR (and elsewhere) who are not sheeple voting for someone while plugging their noses. Good for them for seeing the truth and not jumping on the contrived media bandwagon.

Why, thank you sir. And no I am not going to only focus on myself here, no worries there. I thank you for your recognition; it is quite liberating and refreshing to know that my words hold a place of remembrance in people’s minds.
Fear not, my brother. Even if you and I have to do it all ourselves, America shall be restored, or may at least I die trying. My very absence of right to vote is in the very book of law that houses so many things we wish to change. What I am saying is… regardless of my age, my love and compassion for everyone remains the same. I’ll drive the enemy back along side you, or even alone in the face of all, as long as there is yet still a sliver of hope. Just as Ron Paul himself, as long as you hold hope, I will continue to fight.
I use my eloquent disposition to reach ears that would normally never listen. The Revolution: A Manifesto has practically become my bible, and I preach its, and Ron Paul’s, message. The message that shall forever echo in the book of history; the message that will forever resound in the hearts and minds of the noble and free-at-heart. That we, the youth, and the elderly that linger in thought of liberties once had, shall enter forever our names into the book of fate, and the book of the past, as soldiers in a figurative militia that fended off the hordes of the selfish that would dare take from with sole intention to feed only themselves; the ones to restored power and liberty to its rightful bearers.
If Ron Paul loses, we shall not stop there. We’ll drive them back into the deviant caves from whence they came, banishing them back, yet again. We will become the true decedents of the forefathers, and become in our own right, “Forefathers” of our own.
Will you stand with me, my fellow freedom loving brethren? Will you let me stand alone, or will you help me and others restore power back to The Body Politic!?!?
We shall succeed. Never, ever give up hope.

Depressed? Be not, please! I’d fight just for you! =] Go to war just to protect you and your liberties. Please, know that there are people who care about you and your freedoms and liberty just as much as they do their own! All wish that evil times would never touch them. Wish that… they would forever remain in a paradise. But life is not this way… for the longest time (it seems like a long time, I’ve only been “cognitive” for eleven years at sixteen) I’ve wondered what I wanted to do with my life. I wanted to first be a police officer, and recently, a musician (I have great musical talent). But, I do not think that I should focus on that. I wanted to become a musician initially to have money to donate to good causes, and to spread a message of freedom and hope. But, it seems, I would be more suited as a politician, a leader of our soon to come stand for freedom. I would give up my dream to better everyone’s lives.
I never had much in my life to give. And as I wipe a tear, I’m still willing to give it all away for you, for Josh Goodin, for Ron Paul… even for those that are not my creed. Even the ones who want to stop me. For I would like to give them another chance to reconsider their outlook on life, and their priorities.
A sixteen year old “child” by many’s definition is willing to give everything he has away, and everything he might have had, in order to change the world and make a better place for you and all others. I hope my efforts are not in vain.

I Have as much hope & faith as anyone. I see these articles an think “YES” the movement is still on. But then I think I am seeing these articles and videos because I am looking for them. Where else is this news? Is the majority of Oregons populis hereing about the endorsments or has the MSM gave this the blackout punch also. I am awere because I am a Ron Paul Junky (Which is good)!!! & I am constantly talking to people here in Florida, to people in Wisconsin, Vermont & even Main. Many are now on board and so many more that say Ron who??? I keep talking, chipping away at the sheeples blinders in hopes to make a differance.

I am thinking that if Ron Paul doesn’t get the nomination that is not all bad. By staying in the GOP race we are given the best platform possible to get the freedom message out to the voters. Now that Chuck Baldwin is a candidate…lets say he chooses the Judge or Jessie as VP that would leave Dr Paul in Congress doing what he does best. We would then have 3 Patriotic men in DC fighting for the Constitution. That makes me feel warm and fuzzy all over.
