Off Topic: I just got an email with a great idea for what to do with our bribe money (I mean tax rebates). What if all those nearly worthless dollars were used to purchase gold and silver? In one fell swoop, we could get $152 billion in precious metals back into the hands of the people. This would certainly get their attention! People would wonder why, start checking into it, and following suit! The gov’t would have no choice but to get rid of the Federal Reserve and their bogus ‘Notes’ we call money and start accepting gold and silver as legal tender. Do you think this could work?

Tim, I definitely agree that we need to make a BIG showing with a money bomb when our checks start trickling in. We need to get those numbers up….
Regarding the cartoon, I like to picture all of those that are jumping ship as being the liberals that invaded our party. I would gladly help them pack for their trip back to whichever party they came from. I would also equip each of them with a copy of “The Revolution, a Manifesto”, with the reading list in the back highlighted for them, so that their eyes might be opened to the truth.

Hey! No! Wait! Those are voters running away with their votes. The Democrats won’t be beat without the votes they represent. Should we win these battles but sacrifice victory? Alas for the Constitution. They are our neighbors and free individuals. We can start by giving them permission to be free. Almost always you will find that freedom is popular! I stand corrected on the buying of the gold with tax rebate money idea. I read the other day that the RP campaign has a list of nearly 400,000 email addresses for supporters, but only 160,000 of those have contributed financially to the campaign. (It was in the article about what to do with leftover funds on myfoxhouston.com) Given those numbers and the total raised thus far, a good chunk of those 160,000 have likely tapped out at their limit of $2,300 for the election cycle. If you’ve hit the max already, consider using the tax rebates to buy up more copies of The Revolution: A Manifesto to distribute or try the gold buying idea (which isn’t a bad idea anyway with the direction the dollar is headed). I know part of my rebate will be funding my trip to DC for the march on July 12th.
I agree that anyone who has not yet maxed out their campaign contributions should put their money there first. And for the 240,000 supporters who have yet to contribute monetarily, please consider putting some money toward the final push to see this thing through to November!

I would agree that national needs a shake-up. How that works I do not know outside of making a personal visit to Ron’s Washington D.C. office and talk directly to Ron. Outside of that, the future of our country is a far greater issue than withholding from the national campaign, because of misdirected campaign events. Ron said money and support are what he personally needs to stay for the long hall. Ron is just starting to understand how much support is there. We need to flood the coffers like Obama, Clinton have to give Ron the initiate for cleaning house, or getting control of national what ever he sees fit to do.
MONEY talks, and our job it to show Ron we are committed to his presidency. Ron then can, should, and I believe will make changes as needed to produce a winning presidency with $100,000,000.00 or more funds. The proverbial ball is in occur court.

“We the People” gave $100,000,000.00 or more this next 45 days as our stimulus checks arrived. I could just see Ron and Carol kneeling at their bedside praying in tears, “Lord I guess you really want me to give everything to winning the presidency. Please forgive my disbelief as we go to bed tonight”. Knowing this would happen is worth giving $200,000,000.00 to the campaign. I know with confidence any remaining campaign funds would be properly spent on good causes.

CG–VA 10 is already represented by an EXTREMELY honorable man. In the case of Frank Wolf, I would vote for him against anyone else running, hands down. He is honest, decent, hard-working, experienced, modest, and moral. I can think of no one I respect more in the U.S. Congress than Wolf (well, maybe one person :). Too bad, because I bet Vern McKinley has a lot going for him, and I’m certainly interested in his political success, but no way would I vote for ousting Wolf…

Ellen, I suppose we just have a different view of the role of government, then. Frank Wolf is far too statist and far too comfortable and self-serving in Congress in my opinion. He is a 14 Term, 28 year Congressman, first elected in 1981 and elected every consecutive election since then.
He is a member of the House Appropriations committee. He also voted just recently for the Economic Stimulus Plan.

Frank Wolf voted for the PATRIOT Act and Reauthorization of the PATRIOT Act twice, plus much (all?) of the other unconstitutional “national security” legislation thrown his way over the last 4 terms. He voted for the Iraq war, the surge & torture. He does not support balanced budgets or earmark reform.

If you read these blogs regularily- I am 110% pro Ron Paul 100% of the time.. You didn’t understand my sarcasm…do you believe we went to war for terrorism or oil?
I believe the Truth is OIL.
McCain spoke in Denver and told the truth (not intentionally-he messed up) about the war, that it was for oil.
He stated that his new ENERGY PLAN means that we will NEVER go to war AGAIN in the Middle East. Now he is back peddling and saying he did not mean the Iraq war, he meant Desert Storm, etc. (It’s too late) First it was stay 100 years and now he admits it’s for oil.
Thought everyone would be delighted to hear the news that the noose is getting tighter.

CG–I hesitated to post about Frank Wolf on this blog, because IN GENERAL I am for limited government–duh! I think Wolf would be sympathetic with that direction, as well. I also think having really genuinely GOOD people in Congress is my aim. Frank Wolf is that rare individual. He keeps getting re-elected because he is an AWESOME, attentive representative, effective and widely respected. He is very concerned human rights issues, is pro-life, and in my opinion, fiscally responsible given the free-spending congressional milieu which predominates.
Again, I wish I could have BOTH McKinley and Wolf–I wish they were not running for the same seat. And I’ve read other blogs that see it the same way.

What we need is a hundred million supporters for Ron Paul for President. Some think that a fully funded centrally controlled campaign organization can produce these results. I do not.
What would be more valuable for the Revolution? A.) Each of the million voters sent a $100 to the campaign or B.) Each voter would reach one more and they reached one more. The Chain reaction* could grow to over 100 hundred million in eight steps. Can each of us help convince a few others that they are free and the government MUST treat them that way?
In the future the Revolution will be deemed a complete success if it didn’t depend on money or medias, but on the efforts and the will of the people. It’s fun to imagine.
We the people, in order to form a more perfect union… Not we with money or we with mouthpieces…

You know, gold isn’t the only commodity in the world. There is a MUCH better way to let our displeasure be known. Why not start buying real estate? You can buy real estate now for 70 cents on the dollar or less. When you do, you will probably get leverage of 10 to 1 - meaning for every 1000 you invest, you get the profits from 10,000. Further, your purchase will be financed in those exceedingly valuable Federal Reserve Notes at a fixed rate of interest only a point or two above our OFFICIAL inflation rate. Other people buy you a free building, you get some money every month and the central bank is left holding a 30 year sheaf of FRNs that will be worth about as much as a really big hamburger at a good restaurant. Further, the tax breaks you will get from renting it out can make it so you pay no taxes - LEGALLY.
Our presence as members of the Republican Party as well as our ability to influence people are directly affected by the amount of money we can afford to spend. This battle won’t be over this year or the next, even if Ron is elected. Now is the time to acquire real property - both as safe store of value for the coming storm and as a creator of wealth which can be contributed to the effort? Would you have contributed more to the effort if you had had the money available? If it didn’t mean you wouldn’t eat next week? I think so. Also, we just encourage those people by giving them money. The tax code makes it perfectly possible for people of ordinary means to not pay taxes - all that is required is that you own real estate which you rent for a profit.

The American Bar Association has succeeded quite well in monopolizing this knowledge for the exclusive financial benefit of their powerful private “special interest group.” This is why some people cannot recognize how felony crime and conspiracy is afoot by the mainstream mass media moguls to injure Dr. Ron Paul and the American people. The elistist “billionaire boys club” of corporate media barons—only a few in number—have effectively MONOPOLIZED the entire mass media/news service industry for the benefit of their wealthy “social class” and they control the outcome of all elections in this nation with the tremendous power they enjoy via this outrageous and illegal MONOPOLY which definitely violates the letter, spirit and intent of our anti-monopoly and anti-trust laws!!! Everyone who has read the criminal complaint executed by Ted Gunderson and me need to go study a few definitions from any good law dictionary (e.g. Black’s Law Dictionary) including: “monopoly”…”conspiracy”…”fraud”…”RICO” (organized “racketeering”)…then…they may begin to understand how diabolical and damaging the controlled media has become.

The News Services have a moral duty to be impartial, ethical and honest in their reporting because the public has an continuing interest in the “news worthy” news they report. Ron Paul’s remarkable success in several straw polls deserves the same national publicity that Mitt Romney received when he purportedly won the Iowa Straw Poll. The opposite is happening, however, with regard to Ron Paul. He’s being wrongfully CENSORED. Dr. Paul would definitely win the Republican nomination were he given the same special coverage afforded to Elitist-preferred lackeys: Romney, Guilliani and Hillary. The conspiracy is intended to promote the candidates PREFERRED by the media moguls (who establish the internal corporate policies for their respective media services) and ignore the candidates they least favor. This is a terrible fraud against the American public who stupidly or unwittingly trust the news services to be honest and impartial—a blind trust for the most part. I feel sorry for those individuals who lack the insight and intelligence to recognized how the present corrupt media establishment is RIGGING and, in fact, powerfully CONTROLLING the outcome of U.S. elections. It is truly operating as a criminal enterprise.

RICO requires two or more predicate acts perpetrated in violation of federal law with a property nexus and involving two or more individuals acting in conspiracy to perpetrate the criminal acts. So, how is Ron Paul’s property rights being violated? C’mon…think… he’s applying for a job along with 9 [or whatever # it is now] other candidates on the Republican side…and that job is going to pay over $200,000 per year, the presidents salary!!! This is the “property” nexus. The media moguls are providing preferential treatment and financial support to those candidates who will promote their financial interests and agenda. A media conspiracy exists to deprive Dr. Ron Paul of his fair opportunity to acquire the “position” he is seeking within the “federal corporation.” That’s enough for now. Wake Up! …and come to grips with the fact that America is a nation of corporations, by corporations and for corporations—benefitting Wall Street/Banking Interests…and Dr. Paul is a threat to this “establishment” because he does not hide the fact that when he becomes president he is going to put “We the People” FIRST…rather than last as the present situation exists.

kudos to Ron Paul supporters for creating a true grassroots movement. and kudos to Ron Paul for being a politician that is not willing to speak his mind and to tell people exactly what he truly believes. I look forward to reading his non focus group tested, non sugar coated manifesto.
now if only Ron Paul supporters could recognize that it isn’t the Republican Party holding you back. It’s primary voters like me that just made a decision (knowing Paul’s positions and liking many of them) that in 2008, John McCain is a better option. please consider that 1) your message WAS heard, I saw Ron Paul in a debate on TV and went to his site BEFORE I voted, 2) Ron Paul did not have front page of Rolling Stone, GQ, Newsweek, Time, etc) so Obama is a media-created darling and Ron Paul did not get THAT blessing, 2b) Ron Paul’s wife was not featured in Newsweek and didn’t have Oprah on the campaign trail. 3) it’s may 2008 when the book comes out (a little late for the primary season). It may take a bit longer for the revolution to set in. For the time being, don’t go about alienating people and acting like it is the party, or voters like me, holding you back.
Beyond institutional politics, Paul and his supporters may want to start taking on the institutional media [ if a) Paul had been given multiple national front cover articles with glossy smiles; and b) if the same media could polish Paul’s occasional gaffe and cranky-old-man moments and always provide the best case scenario for every Paul idea and saying; then Paul would be polling where you believe he should be… but time, with the honest, frank message and principles of Ron Paul is on your side ]. going after the institutional media will generate even broader support and not alienate people. It’s not the party (the people vote*) it’s the media.
* don’t just think Republican primary voters are stupid or being duped. taking PEOPLE for granted is immature. We (Republican primary voters) voted for McCain for sincere reasons and believe, at this time, in this election, he is the right person (honorable, with sound pragmatic principles and integrity).

mbviews supports a candidate that had the government borrow money it doesn’t have to give to me. Am I so stupid to think I will not have to pay it back, or my children or grandchildren with interest. This is NOT fiscal responsibility. Can I vote for someone who is simply too clueless to know that borrowing is not the answer?
The stimulus is bound to fail. Congress and the President just dug the hole we’re going to fall into a little deeper. Exxon-Mobil already alerted stations that the dollar has been debased and it will take an extra buck per gallon for gas.
I call it the Tinker Bell Economic Theory. If you clap and cheer loud enough the economy can survive these deadly attack agaisnt it.
And the media is going to serve its own interest. They want candidates who will loot us for their own benefit. For this the compliant candidate will get the coverage they need to win. Unless…

marilyn, if you read my post the word “not” is a typo. A big typo right up front but a total typo (the word “not” is not supposed to be there). everyone can recognize ron paul speaks his mind and all my other comments recognize that fact. unlike obama who is focus group testing his message in order to fool voters, Ron Paul says what he means. And that is beyond admirable. My main points are just that 1) the timing wasn’t quite there for Paul in this cycle 2) the media (not the GOP or GOP primary voters) holds back folks like Paul (Obama is where he is because he represents the Washington establishment, I know I work here in DC and I know who supports Obama).
