Just looked at Amazon.com. Dr. Paul’s book is doing very well (#22 in bestsellers, #12 in hot new releases.) I know we don’t have OPRAH to push the book, so it falls to us. Please, everyone, let’s get it to the top! Tell everyone you can think of to buy at least two more copies, especially during the next 5 days, when the “pre-order” status gives you a major discount plus free shipping (on two or more copies).

Sorry to be a drone, but I think Dr. Paul (and all of us) have labored so hard to get the message out, and this book he has written in such timely fashion is THE OPPORTUNITY to break through the resistance. Maybe it is ‘the tipping point’…”The steps of a righteous man are ordered…”

I just followed my own advice and bought two more copies. The total cost, with free shipping (make sure you select it) was $25.20. That’s dinner out. I’ll cook at home this week :)

I’d love to see Ron on some of the late night interview shows as part of the book tour. Letterman/Leno/Conan/Ferguson/Kimmel would be nice, but I’d really like to see a good/lengthy/in-depth discussion with Charlie Rose and/or Tavis Smiley.

Bill Moyers might be another opportunity since the economy has been going down the tubes since Ron was last on (early Jan. when they talked about lack of media coverage) and they’d have some new things to talk about. Even though a lot has changed since January, he was just on Moyers a few months ago, so maybe that would be a hard sell. Charlie Rose interviewed Richardson, Huckabee, Thompson, and McCain back in November, but not Ron. I think Charlie Rose owes Ron an interview ;) And again, Tavis (on after Charlie in my area) would be a good show to try to get as well b/c you can talk for more than six minutes.

I just sent an email to the Letterman show c/o cbsmailbag@aol.com Dave has voted for and supported Ron Paul in the past and it would make a great show for Monday.
    Thisw is what I sent.
“Could you please get 2008 Presidential Candidate Ron Paul on the Late Show. I love David Letterman and I think Dr. Paul would do very good on your show. Congressman Paul will be in NY on Monday April 28th to promote his new book “THE REVOLUTION: A MANIFESTO” . I know Mr. Letterman has supported Congressman Paul in the past and it could be a great ratings coup as well. You can reach the campaign office at by Phone 703-248-9115″

This would be a wonderful opportunity!!!
If you think so too then email them, perhaps the campaign or the publicists could work on this as well??

  14. Frank in Carmel Says:

An essential read is the just released book “The Revolution, A Manifesto” by Ron Paul.

The congressman and doctor is still a presidential candidate although you would never know it from the media who rarely, if ever, dare mention his name. The entrenched system is really afraid of this guy. If they could have a fair, four-person debate, right now on TV (a near impossibility with our bridled media), including Ron Paul and the other presumptive candidates for president, Ron Paul would, no doubt, blow them all out of the water by confronting truth to the powers controlling the other three.

“The empire game our government has been playing is coming to an end.” Paul says. He suggests realistic options for the successor to George W. Bush otherwise, “the alternative consists of ever-growing financial burden, more police state measures, and an endless string of wars pitched to Americans on the basis of now-familiar propaganda and financed by more borrowing, higher taxes and more money printed out of thin air. The collapse of the dollar will not be far behind.”

Paul declares,” If freedom is what we want, it is ours for the taking.”

New York is still one of the most important places in the world!

Despite all of the rampant and chronic parasitism of the socialists New York still has life and hopefully the prescription of a healthy shot of liberty and economic freedom will reinvigorate its immune system (the spirit of America) so that New York heralds in a new age for classical liberalism.

Ron Paul in New York City kicking off the release of his new and monumental book, can those who are trying to control the media keep the oppressive lid on? No!!!

Everyone with ears to hear, hear this: The Revolution: A Manifesto!!!

“To my supporters: I have never been more humbled and honored than by your selfless devotion to freedom and the Constitution. The American Revolutionaries did the impossible. So can we.

Thanks Dr. Paul. We love you too!

make sure to ask John Roberts if the president has the power to take us to war again under the same circumstances.. Honestly, one of my favorite moments of Ron Paul.

I wish he would have learned a couple lessons from that interview over a year ago.

JR: ‘If the North Koreans invaded south Korea does the President have the right to go to war, or ask the congress?’

RP: ‘No he doesnt have the power, how does he get it? You cant go to war without a declaration of war.’

Ron Paul is my president. This movement is far from over.

    Promise.

TJ, Thanks for the link. Over all, it was a very good article. I would like to note, however, that on the second page, one member of the GOP hierarchy confirms that they are expecting we Paulites to cave and vote the lesser of two evils when the general election finally arrives. I sure hope that we have all moved beyond THAT scenario.

Ron Paul or not at all!

  28. Lee in Ky Says:

    TJ

Thanks for pointing us to the article.

It seems that the GOP thinks Ron Paul supporters will vote for McCain to keep Clinton or Obama from the White House. That may explain part of the ill-treatment some of the Ron Paul people are experiencing. If the choice is between the Democratic nut and the Republican nut, I’m sure I’ll be looking at the third party candidates.

I liked this quote from Dr. Paul at the end of the article:

Recalling the May of 2007 GOP debate when he and former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani scrapped in South Carolina over the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks and national security, Paul crowed that “Giuliani made me a celebrity.”

“I’m still doing this,” Paul pointed out, “and he’s paying back his debt.”

Very nice Politico story, I just wonder why the media is now reporting Ron Paul, perhaps the longevity of the campaign helps. We need to restart giving to the campaign chest. Another $100,000,000.00 needed.

If only 20% of the 1,000,000 current voters of Ron Paul donated their $600.00 stimulus, package check to the campaign Ron has $120,000,000.00 for the national election. We can easily provide the funds needed to blanket the country as needed to spread the message.

If only 10% of the 1,000,000 current voters of Ron Paul took their $600.00 stimulus package check and purchased Ron Paul book at $15.00 we could donate 4,000,000 copies of the Revolution across America.

If we did both of my suggestions Ron Paul revolution would break both fundraising and book sales records. Perhaps wake up and change the course of America.

A special thanks to my Democrat and Republican leadership in Washington for providing the Revolution monetary funds to run a national campaign without MSM support.

    PS,

Copy and spread my suggestion around the internet. Perhaps the gentleman who set up the other large fundraising days get’s my post idea and sets up a “Revolution stimulus Day” for fund raising?

  32. Wm Says:

Unfortunately I earn too much money to be entitled to a stimulus refund! But I will do my share anyway.

I suggested that the Ron Paul campaign send a copy of his book to the Diane Rehm show which airs on NPR and WAMU nationwide.

Given what just happened in Texas to Ron Paul delegates at the hands of the Republican heirarchy I would be surprised if they don’t resort to similar shenanigans in Minneapolis.

I do wish we had a tally of the number of delegates Ron Paul already has in which states so we would know if we are on track to have enough to get him the nomination.

I hope he does have enough when the time comes. But I also hope we have a contingency plan just in case. I will write in Ron Paul for president. I would hope for an unprecedented vigorous impassioned write in campaign in which each of us is able to reason with enough others who are disenchanted with the choices to join with us in making it happen.

God knows Ron Paul has the correct insightful positions on the crucial issues.

IF there are two million of us by September we could keep doubling every few days over the next two months, four, eight, sixteen, thirty two, sixty four, one hundred twenty eight…. that should do it!

IT might require that we each stop taking our Lithium and become manic and obsessed. Knowing that you are not alone but one of a contingent of Minutepersons dedicated to setting yourselves free should keep morale up.

WE must have a contingency plan! Unless someone can prove to me that we will have enough delegates and that the Republican heirarchy will abide by their own rules, we must have a contingency plan for a successful write in campaign.

    WM

Just got my book signed by Dr Paul. Thanks so much! The people waiting on the line were all really nice. We were all like “I can’t believe Ron Paul is about to sign my book.” He shook my hand and said thank you. Haha, no way! Thank YOU, Dr Paul.

I was at Borders and got my book signed too. Just afterwards, I saw that people coming in did not have books to be signed–seems like Borders didn’t expect so many supporters and didn’t have enough on hand.
The also missed another opportunity. I was interested in other books written by Ron Paul and asked if they had any on hand , and wouldn”t you know they didn’t have any! If they had set up a display of Dr. Paul’s other books, as well as the few of the Revolution they had, they could have increased sales a lot. I think he might have signed any of his other books that people had bought.
