The two speeches you posted by Ron Paul before Congress in 2002 regarding “warnings against going to war against Iraq, are outstanding and I encourage people to print them out and get them out to others.I have posted the Granny Warriors site for the Freedom March before, but will do again, as there are always new people coming to this website. To be held April 15th at the Capitol in Washington D.C. with Ron Paul speaking, and others; and excellent program. http://www.grannywarriors.com/rally.htm Does anyone know more about the other Constitution March or rally for June 21st; is it definitely going to be held?

I sent a reply to the Houston Chronicle thanking them for this ad on Dr. Paul. Living close to Houston, I appreciate any acknowledgement given by the Houston Chronicle.

Could have a much better picture. The article is good coverage. We need many many more of this type of coverage. National pump out the press releases on Ron Paul events, stories, and speaches. Do I hear a press conference today discussing Ron Paul speeking at the Nevada Convention next week. Ron can not ask for better endorcement than the invitation to speek at a state convention. Where is Ron’s News Conference? COme on National let’s get on the ball of exposure every moment.

SPITFIRE, I feel like the grannywarriers’ march, and any other that may be in the works, should be stated on the home page, and maybe again as a reminder at the top of the Daily Dose. Because as far as the grannywarrier’s march, there are not realy enough people signing up. And Dr. Paul and Carol are going to be there. Also, they are doing a petition we can as our names to stating “Bring Back the Constitution”, and there needs to be a lot more names on that.

corr4ection: we can SIGN our names— (I’ve got to start proof-reading my posts!)

We need exposure, exposure and more exposure. I am assuming National is on the phone 18 hours a day arranging national interviews or short air times like this story with all the MSM. Contact CNN, NYT, LAT, Newsweek, WSJ, Chicago Tribune, MSNBC, NPR, even FOX News, anyone and everyone.
Part 2 is going after the other three candidates on issues. America has so much many issues needing addressing Ron do not have enough days to discuss all the problems. Challenge them all be presidential and make them respond to you and acknowledge your candidacy
Part 3 get back on all the talk shows, free media coverage lets get going national we have an election to win, McCain only has 356 delegates as of today and losing support.
March 21st, 2008 at 1:39 pm
To Tim:
I assume when you asked these questions of National, you were doing it with tongue in cheek? You know IF I was planning a way to in sure that RP doesn’t win the nomination, I would National as my poster child.
IMO, we could win this nomination because the media is actually starting to listen to RP. And McCain is starting to implode.

It would be very easy to argue that it has, in fact, been more like over 17 years of war with Iraq if you include sanctions and no fly zones since our 1991 first Gulf War. A blockade and war planes in their airspace occasionally bombing things seem like acts of war… not that anyone declares war anymore.
But “we weren’t in Iraq before 9/11″ is the response by nitwits who like to mix the two topics and try to refute the claim that we’re causing more terrorism by being in Iraq now. How quickly they forget that which is politically inconvenient (or, more likely, they hope the masses forget our pre-9/11 actions so they can continue to spread their lies without opposition). Oops, I guess I’m blaming America first by pointing out the obvious… sorry.

This is off subject, but I want to put this out to bring people’s attention to this horrendous situation. Please click the link and read the article. Dr. Paul has always been a strong opponent of the war on drugs and as a physician he certainly is compassionate and understands to some extent what this poor girl is going through. If someone from national could draw his attention to this girl’s plight, I hope he can help fight for her. I am going to email/call anyone I can think of to help. Please do the same.

Tracey, I understand the heartbreak of this situation. But I honestly feel that maybe the prison authorities, knowing the circumstances of this man’s imprisonment, are doing the only things they can do, by allowing him to visit her, having security with him, and allowing him to phone her. Maybe they could let him visit her more often, I don’t know. But how could they let him have 30days out of prison, as you say, to be with her? Maybe I’m not seeing something here that I should be seeing. I, of course, don’t know any of the circumstances. But being a mother and a grandmother, and also a care-giver of people who are ill and dying, my heart goes out to this child. And I can tell it’s upsetting you. My prayers are with all concerned here.

Everybody, because I’m asked this question often in regard to Dr. Paul’s stand on Iraq, what kind of plan or strategy does he have to bring the troops home right away? All I’ve read is that he wants to bring them home right away, as safely as possible. The other candidates that want the troops in Iraq home, have plans, deadlines, etc. I feel that most people think Dr. Paul just wants to ‘order all the troops out of Iraq right away’, and people don’t buy that. It’s fearful to most people. I know that’s not his plan, but that’s the problem. With a lot of the issues, people hear what he wants done, but not how he plans to do it. Can somebody tell me what to say to those who ask about Dr. Paul and the Iraq issue? Thanks.
March 21st, 2008 at 2:29 pm
Dr. Paul would confer with the Joint Chiefs of Staff and the top military leaders on the ground and direct them to formulate a plan for immediate withdrawal, and then let them execute it. He wants our men and women out as soon as possible, but he wants it done as safely as possible. It does initially worry people, but they don’t understand that the troops wouldn’t be coming home the next second after Dr. Paul is inaugurated. He would tell the military leaders to immediately get out or Iraq, but they would have to execute their plan for doing so.

Matt, thank you for explaining how Dr. Paul would execute getting the military out of Iraq. I just wish he would make a point of getting that explanation in, when he says things like “Just bring them home.” I’m partial enough to just trust him, knowing how smart, how thorough, and how efficient he is. But to many people, they need to hear the explanation. At least now, thanks to you, I will have a better one. When you read his issue on Iraq on this website, it doesn’t even say all that, so how are people supposed to know?
March 21st, 2008 at 2:49 pm
Yeah, I don’t think he’s ever advocated “cut and run” where you leave your equipment behind and pile into a chopper on the roof of the embassy. An orderly and safe withdrawal could take six months or maybe a little longer (or less time). RP is not a general, he doesn’t have to come up with a detailed plan. He just gives the order. His generals and the rest come up with the detailed plan.

Marilyn,
Here ya go.
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2007/12/10/AR2007121001648.html
It doesn’t give you a strategy. But just so you know, the military can deploy and re-deploy VERY quickly. When my Brigade left an area in Iraq after Desert Storm, if my memory serves me correctly, we were on the ground in the States in 3 days. We weren’t as mobile as they are now, and just remember there are probably still 20-30,000 private security forces from firms like Blackwater in Iraq along with Iraqi security forces who would be more than capable of providing rear security for American Soldiers as they left, assuming we aren’t leaving enough military there to maintain a permanent presence, which we probably are…so whatever the case, our military planners are the best in the world, it won’t be a problem for them.

MATT, JIM, AND CARL, thank you so much for explaining. Jim, even I, a mere grandmother, never even thought they they would all “pile in a helicopter, leaving their supplies behind, on top of the embassy.”I’m sure you guys are getting a good laugh at my expense, but I get asked these questions, and I don’t mind asking a few myself. Thanks again. lol
March 21st, 2008 at 3:36 pm
It’s a good question! No laughter here…

I doubt you thought of the unorganized flight I described, but I’m sure plenty of neocons want you to think of Saigon when they say “wave the white flag of surrender” and “cut and run” in their speeches.

I’m with Tim in Minnesota.
According to the February fec filings, the campaign still has over 5 million dollars.(And isn’t McCain close to being maxed out?)
This is the time to go on the offensive.
What is the strategy on spending this money to garner more exposure?
And what is happening with the hightide video?
All that said, this is far from over, and I’m hopeful that this is merely the calm before the storm.

Folks,
Be sure to visit this AOL straw poll website and vote for Ron Paul each week. The poll resets each Tuesday morning, so return and let America know we are more than 200 supporters of Ron Paul. Also, email to your Ron Paul friends to participate.

I am finding it a little more difficult to promote Ron Paul head on (either minds are made up, they think he dropped out, or they say Ron Paul is a wasted vote). They don’t understand the issues and aren’t aware of what Ron Paul represents. I am using a new tactic. It’s working well and I believe it will improve our base for local government, delegates, and onto DC.
People are concerned with the economy and tax day is coming…I am using that as a lead in to Aaron Russo’s America:Freedom to Fascism. DVD’s are on sale (til April 15th?) in bulk $1.00 each. http://aftfmovie.com. You can google the movie for free.
Once they are educated…(Ron Paul is in the movie) then they will be open to learn about the One candidate who will represent them in this election, Ron Paul.
I consider this my monthly campaign donation. I also ordered small constitutions to give away. I am finding that new recruits aren’t willing to buy 50 DVD’s so they are buying 10 at a time from me. I will be ordering more often, but that’s ok, keeps me out of trouble.
PS: For those who aren’t aware, Freedom to Fascism is a professionally made DVD showing that the IRS and income tax is illegal. For a catch phrase I mention (subject line of email) that there is a $50,000 reward for anyone who can find the law that allows the federal government to charge the average working citizen for his labor. The $50,000 is mentioned in the DVD by an ex-IRS agent who knows the Truth. Not in the constitution.
If only our churches would show this DVD…Christian “Bush” voters don’t know what conservative really means.

Re: Constitution Petition
Good job on the signatures up from 1510 (on the 20th) to 1699. We need more, a million would be impressive. Send to fellow Paulites. http://www.grannywarriors.com/rally.htm (scroll to bottom of page).
PS: I wonder if DC banned hand guns because they know that people are Fed UP with the Fed.

I strongly echo the sentiment and questions of A.S. UNLESS we have some top secret strategy which must NOT be released, please answer these questions. $5million can do great good in recruiting delegates. It doesn’t do any good sitting in the bank.

I was pleased that the Houston Chronicle finally said something nice about Ron Paul. I cancelled my subscription two years ago because I was so fed up with their being so negative. Actually I like the picture of Ron Paul since it is obvious that a Ron Paul presidency would be the Perfect Ten!!

And the above post is from Marilyn, not me, since some are getting us confused. And I don’t subscribe to the Houston Chronicle, but some of the reports, like tomabrahams, are very good.
