Top Donors to Ron Paul are U.S. Army, Navy, and Air Force
Not only does Ron Paul receive more donations than any other candidate from people employed by the armed forces, but the U.S. Army, Navy, and Air Force are the top employers of Dr. Paul’s donors. The services know that Dr. Paul supports them — and supports a strictly constitutional foreign policy. Here’s our news release:
ARLINGTON, VIRGINIA – According to opensecrets.org, the top three contributors to Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul’s campaign are from the U.S. Army, U.S. Navy and U.S. Air Force respectively.
“No matter how you measure it, Dr. Paul has the support of our nation’s brave servicemen and women,” said Kent Snyder, Ron Paul 2008 campaign chairman. “His message of a strong national defense, and only going to war with a declaration of war – as mandated by the Constitution – resonates with those who risk their lives to defend that Constitution.”
No branch of the military appears among the “top contributors” to GOP frontrunner John McCain’s campaign.
Additionally, Ron Paul’s military contributions are greater than those of all other current candidates – John McCain, Mike Huckabee, Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama –combined.
The “Top Contributors” figures can be found at www.opensecrets.org.
For more information on military contributions to Dr. Paul’s campaign, please read this press release.
As always, you can support the Ron Paul campaign by donating here. Ron Paul is fighting for every vote, because the principles of peace, freedom, and prosperity deserve no less.

dan,
the links in the release aren’t working properly (or maybe they are, but to the wrong address)

Send McCain to Iraq, perhaps he can be president there if they will elect him, for 100 years and bring back our troops.
February 14th, 2008 at 11:37 am
Nope, that’s a snafu. I’ll get them fixed.
Update: Links should be working now.
February 14th, 2008 at 11:40 am
They should add up the $$ totals from donors, like myself, who want REAL change…not phony warbama or shillary change. She scares me.

Significant Factoids Can Well Be Turned To Account
(Apollonian, 14 Feb 08)
Reported facts then are NOT insignificant–and can well be turned to account, as in bumper-sticker -type sloganeer-question (rhetorical): “Why Does Ron Paul Rec’ More Total Contributions/Donations Fm Military Personnel–THAN ALL OTHER CANDIDATES, DEM. AND REP., COMBINED?”
CONCLUSION: And of course there’s the next bumper-sticker: “Ron Paul Puts America First–NOT Israel or the UN!” Honest elections and death to the Fed. Apollonian
February 14th, 2008 at 12:00 pm
This is a strong talking point when discussing Ron Paul’s positions with all voters, committed or not. My son is active Navy and a Paul supporter and who would have a better idea on our country’s defense priorities than the men and women laying their lives on the line? I mention it every time I discuss candidates with anyone and humbly suggest that all adopt the same. You don’t have to mention the war; the evidence speaks for itself. GO PON PAUL!
February 14th, 2008 at 12:07 pm
I wish Ron Paul would break down his message in the following manner:
1. There are three branches of government.
2. The president is a member of the executive branch of government.
3. The root word of executive is “execute”.
4. This then is the president’s job, to carry out the will of the people, as expressed by
congress. To be a servant of the people. To ensure that the voice of the people is heard.
5. For example. If the congress passes a law to protect America’s borders with a border
fence, it is the president’s job to get that fence built.
6. The president does not make law. No, it is the congress that legislates. If one
individual only makes the law, that person is known as a dictator, and you have not
freedom, but tyranny.
7. The president is not dictator of the known universe.
8. No, the president is the protector of the U.S. constitution, which guarantees the rights of
all Americans. Not some Americans. Not groups of Americans, for there is no such thing.
There are only - unique individuals.
9. To preserve, protect and defend the constitution is the oath that I will take when I am
sworn into office as president of the United States of America. It is the same oath that
George Washington took.
10. This is our system of government, and I intend to restore and maintain it.
Headquarters - please use this. Take it and run with it.

Ron Paul’s military support just continue to rise, no one else can compare. Lets get our boys and girls home.
The race from NASCAR is legitimate as www.rprr.com has checked it out and found out it is. Please go here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6LjHl5KAuzw This should dispel any doubts as to it’s legitimacy.
“A New Leadership Team: Founder Ron Conrad, Co-founder Ryan Rittenhouse, and Webmaster/Designer Justin Flores have been joined by a dedicated new leadership team that includes Matt D. Harris (of Ron Paul Radio), Mike Simon (a lifelong race fan), and Kathleen Hanover (a public relations/marketing guru). Several original supporters are still on board, and support is growing every day!”
http://www.ronpaulracing.com
You can read the rest yourself, but the NASCAR race is only two or three days away and they need $100,000. to get started, they only have a small portion and its not growing very fast. The exposure would be enormous with such gigantic crowds every race. Read what $300,000. will get you. He will even go to TX on March 4th and advertise there for Ron Paul.
Also don’t forget Ron Paul’s Congressional battle in TX. http://www.ronpaulforcongress.com/ Donations are independent of his presidential campaign so if you have gone the limit on his presidential campaign you can donate to the Congressional one.
C’mon folks lets get with it and help this effort. More delegates are needed for the convention. I donated and will do so again if I can swing a repayment on my CC. When times are hard is when your friends need you most. Dr. Paul has been faithful and loyal to us now it’s time to be loyal to him when he needs it.

Romney to endorse McCain??? Either Romney’s debates and attack ads were lies and he’s admitting it with this endorsement or he’s a sellout to the party ‘leaders’ to solidify his place in the party.
Either way, he’s still a giant deuche in my book…
what a crock

MITT ROMNEY DELEGATES COME OVER HERE, DONT SELL OUT
February 14th, 2008 at 1:14 pm
An idea…I wasn’t sure how or where to submit.
Could we start a few on-line petitions that people could sign up and support (especially those that may not be able to make it to the March on Washington) These would be coming from the PEOPLE not necessarily the campaign.
1) Petition about Unfair Media Coverage: Calling for the public recognition that the MSM has failed to cover Ron Paul’s candidacy. It could be given to them prior to the March on Washington and also call for coverage of the March. (Lou Dobbs had Janet Murguia (of La Raza?) on his show because she was petitioning the management of CNN to take action against Lou Dobbs because of his coverage. Maybe we would get airtime to if similar request was submitted?) Maybe it goes to every anchor and management.
2) Petition to Academic Community: It seems that the Media has free reign on their coverage and there is no check or balance happening from outside their editorial staff. Can we petition the Academic Community - Schools and Professors of Journalism, Ethics, and Political Science - calling them to take action on behalf of the American citizens. That they hold the media accountable for providing fair and accurate coverage of political candidates.
3) Petition Washington Leaders - (This could be what the Marchers would bring to Washington. Again, those that can’t make it to the March would be represented. ) The petition would request that our government return to following the constitution. Which means: ending undeclared wars, abolishing the IRS, protecting the liberties of its citizens, etc… It would be presented to all members of Congress, the heads of the Political Parties, the President, etc…
I am just afraid that a March will be ignored or could easily be turned into a negative representation of Dr Paul and everyone that supports him. I wonder if there is a formal request in writing from THE PEOPLE if it would be harder for our “leaders” to ignore.
Just some thoughts.
February 14th, 2008 at 1:18 pm
Why doesn’t Kenny Wallace chunk some money to it and if he is able to get us that TV spot or even a 1st 2nd or 3rd spot finish I am sure out of excitement the money will pour in. He needs the sponsor and if he believes in the cause he will just add the paint to his car.
People are waiting for the next money bomb or giving to the two campaigns. Get us excited and show us the value. I know how valuable it is. But this is about the nation. Out of patriotism he should do it with or without the money.
February 14th, 2008 at 1:18 pm
Looks like Romney is going to endorse McCain later today. Wonder where the 280 delegates he has collected will go?
February 14th, 2008 at 1:20 pm
One thing I noticed though, I do hear the words The Movement much more
You can not tell me we do not have the numbers and that this movement does not worry some people out there in Washington DC
February 14th, 2008 at 1:32 pm
Why is it that a government funded org. is giving money to any candidate? Is this where the money in the biggest military budget since WW II is going?
February 14th, 2008 at 1:37 pm
A NASCAR sponsorship for $300,000 is a STEAL! I have a business friend who sponsored a driver for $1,000,000 and the size of his company logo (about 4″ x 8″) was barely visible. It was practically “lost” among all the other million dollar stickers. Those bigger logos (major brand names we all know) on race cars cost much more than one million. Kenny Wallace (or other supporters or sponsors) must be picking up most of the tab. It costs many millions to race one car. $300,000 is an incredible bargain. Please donate: ronpaulracing.com

Romney is to support McCain this coming Thursday or it could be today I don’t know.
We need to write Rommney and convice him to support Paul!

February 14th, 2008 at 1:39 pm
Check out the news–Romney just endorsed McCain. I wonder what that means? Dan, can you tell us what we can do to start getting Romney’s delegates to choose us over McCain?
February 14th, 2008 at 1:41 pm
JENN your idea is great!
Can we start getting adresses and such?
February 14th, 2008 at 1:44 pm
Mitt suspended in order to keep us from getting any of his delegates. They obviously do not want a brokered convention! So now the tactic changed. Try to get some of those delegates over to McCain and hopefully he can cross the finish line!
February 14th, 2008 at 1:49 pm
In case Dan Irwin is a real person: the Army, Navy, and Air Force as organizations are of course not donating to any candidate, nor did the press release say they were.

Enable People’s Inductive Logic–By Removing False Religion, Moralism
(Apollonian, 14 Feb 08)
Eli at 12:49 pm above, it may be true there’s this “al qaeda,” and it’s surely true UN conspirators (see TheNewAmerican.com for expo/ref.) and Fed counterfeit (see RealityZone.com, etc.) masterminds want to destroy both Islam and Christianity in favor of their putrid MAMMON god.
But what’s actually happening is simply Orwellian “perpetual war for perp. peace,” now the excuse for steadily DRIVING DOWN value of US Dollar, for example, destroying USA, its people, and US Constitution. “Al qaeda” then merely takes up role played by Orwell’s “Goldstein” character in “1984.”
Note then Al Qaeda and bin Laden are original creatures of CIA/MOSSAD.
So any attention to “al qaeda,” etc., should be seen in light of that FAR GREATER battle against Orwellian BIG BROTHER for whom al quaeda is mere creature/ally.
Thus big bro. itself is creature of “Decline of the West,” by Oswald Spengler, in which decline ensues fm fall of rule-of-law and Western objectivity before SUBJECTIVISM, moralism, and anti-Constitutional “hate-speech” and gun-control laws. Who are these subjectivists?
Who is behind this co-ordinated, organized, and DELIBERATE assault against Western objectivity and Christianity? Who’s behind “gun-control” and “hate-speech” overthrow of US Constitution?–and aren’t they anti-Christians with lots and lots of money? Where then do these anti-Constitutional conspirators get this “money”?–and isn’t that money all product of COUNTERFEITING?
Hence then volk must make use of INDUCTIVE LOGIC (generalizing) to pin-point prime suspects who now must PROVE they’re not responsible–BUT WHO CAN’T and won’t, and then merely invoke MORALISM to effect it’s “anti-semitic” to even suspect them.
CONCLUSION: And that’s why then it’s all most convenient and simple to urge hero and leader Ron Paul to emphasize to our people and voters: “Ron Paul Puts America First–NOT Israel or the UN!” Honest elections and death to the Fed. Apollonian
February 14th, 2008 at 1:53 pm
I am not doubting the value of the sponsorship but I can not put dollar signs on the value of my freedom. And Kenny should understand that. This could be his contribution if he is really with us. The rewards for him will still be greater than money. And it is not to say that if this had a great impact that he would not get the money.
He could do one race and we will do our finger magic to get everyone watching tv during the race and go to the race. After a race or two if the money is not there, remove the paint if money is all that matters.
At the rate though, either people are waiting to payday, or until money bomb, or just are not understanding the value of this. I like it, I want it. I do not have that kind of money. Our values, principles, rights are right now being stolen from us. The car may help get some attention and might get a few delegates.
Like I said, I love the idea. I wish people gave more to it. But they are not at the force we have for Ron Paul.
Make no doubt about it people we are winning the battle because people are worried. This is more than words. We are going to fight!
February 14th, 2008 at 2:13 pm
I read this post online at connietalk.com. It got me fired up. And I quote:
We own it all, this Republic. That includes the warships, submarines, tanks, missiles, jets, bombers, soldiers…..oh the soldiers. Do you mean our brothers and sisters, dads, uncles, and mothers? We own the land, the resources, the PENTAGON, the WHITE HOUSE, we own IT ALL! WE own this Country. And we want it back. It is bought and paid for by the blood of our FATHERS!
Kind of says it all!!!
February 14th, 2008 at 2:21 pm
I love my country. I do not love the Republican party for what it stands for today. I will not stop. I will not be bought. I will not REUNITE for the sake of the party. McCain can lose on his own. Might win the nomination but will not win office.
Did you all see the Republicans march out of congress? First thing I said was to keep walking! Did we hear the speaker say this might be a VIOLATION of the CONSTITUTION and we do not want to do that if it is. These republicans walked out together over the issue that it may be unconstitutional. The folks who walked out (GOP) should have been using those words and protecting our rights!
Keep walking! Keep walking!
I am an American and you do not represent me, i want your resignation! All of you!
February 14th, 2008 at 2:40 pm
Lisa, Yes. I do not think they are going to be able to **** Ron Paul up for this one. Maybe this is where we should march. We should show are numbers there at the debate.
February 14th, 2008 at 2:41 pm
Lisa, Yes. I do not think they are going to be able to silence Ron Paul up for this one. Maybe this is where we should march. We should show are numbers there at the debate.
February 14th, 2008 at 2:47 pm
I have this sick feeling hearing about Romney’s endorsement of McCain. Does it seem like Huckabee will stay in or drop out now??? Can there still be a brokered convention?
February 14th, 2008 at 2:49 pm
can mcCain blow off this debate? he can only look worse by going to it. we need him to go. he’s going to be an indirect ron pauler once his record and “knowledge” will be taken to task.
February 14th, 2008 at 2:51 pm
Does anyone know much about the CFR?
February 14th, 2008 at 3:00 pm
Blessedby12,
Read “Shadows of Power: The Council on Foreign Relations and the American Decline.” Everything you need to know about the CFR is there.
February 14th, 2008 at 3:02 pm
The tactic was to hold the delegates to keep us from getting them. But now that it appears McCain may not make it across the finish line he is releasing them by endorsing McCain. Hopefully they do not listen to Romney because his values are not McCain’s. Those delegates should say enough is enough and come down here to Ron Paul.
They do not even want to give the possibility of something not going there way at the convention. It is not about uniting. It is about taking us down. Do not give up and lets hope those delegates come to us.
The delegates are not OFFICIALLY counted until the convention anyways. They are using this as a tactic to put us down and to make us give up.

February 14th, 2008 at 3:07 pm
Most military donors, but where have the voters been? Were absentee ballots even counted or were they thrown away like all of our ‘provisional’ ballots?
The establishment is fighting us hard. I hope they are ready for blowback at the convention.
Question- if McCain hits 1,191 delegates before the convention, is that an automatic nomination or will Dr. Paul still have an opportunity to convince the delegates at the convention?
February 14th, 2008 at 3:12 pm
“Blessed…,” best source for expo/ref. on CFR are Birchers at JBS.org also TheNewAmerican.com and RealityZone.com. Honest elections and death to the Fed. Apollonian

Good point UI. Those ballets have not been counted yet. On to the convention, on to the debate on Feb 28. Onward we march. DO NOT LISTEN TO THE PRESS, if you want to know if you are winning, look at all the tactics they are doing. They are even saying the party is coming together to make us think we are dissolving in our revolution. Propaganda.

Watch as time goes by. McCain will be happy with everyone trying to help him get across that finish line. But he KNOWS he is not out of the woods. Listen to his tones. I can tell one thing he said seemed directed at us and came across to me as a little stern. He is not going to get my vote or support by force, or even if he comes on his knees begging. To do so is like endorsing a war criminal.
Look at those GOP members who left. The dems say it might be unconstitutional and those republicans got mad. G. Bush came out in the name of security to try and force the house to sign it. Those republicans should walk home and never look back.
February 14th, 2008 at 3:20 pm
If just one of those delegates go to Mccain it goes against their principles but gets him one more delegate closer.
February 14th, 2008 at 3:22 pm
DEMOCRATS - Go after those Republicans. They had no right to try and get you to forcefully sign something that may be unconstitutional. As an American, I say it is unconstittional. Do not do it! Lock the doors and do not let them back in.
February 14th, 2008 at 3:26 pm
Looks like we have some seats open at the House of Representatives. Hey Ron Paul, this could be a good time to speak out about the constitution and that it is great that people are taking a stand for it no matter what party they represent. Also, do you have some recommendations on who we can get to replace those folks that walked out.
February 14th, 2008 at 3:30 pm
Dan I have to say that you are the best addition to the RP campaign….your messages are encouraging and insightful, as well as you have a great concern for the grassroots supporters. McCain knows he has to do alot of hoping to get this nomination. so do we. that puts us on equal ground. i like our odds.
i have ron paul magnets in my office. i’ve had them here for a month. i feel like a ron paul information booth.
today i had someone tell me he knew ron paul was the candidate who wanted to get rid of the irs and replace it with a bigger sales tax. see what happens when huckabee starts to sound like Ron Paul? people confuse the two. luckily i was on the RP page and showed him. i have more and more people talking to me longer and longer, yet they say they don’t think RP has a chance. you know whatthat means? they have been converted.
February 14th, 2008 at 3:39 pm
Guys and Gals, take the following statement said by a Democrat in reference to the Patriot Act expiration:
Pelosi, D-Calif., dismissed White House warnings of dire consequences if the current law lapses. “The president has every authority under the underlying FISA law” to do what’s needed to protect the nation, she said. “Because we are trying to pass a bill to protect the American people and protect the Constitution, it does not in any way diminish the president’s authority to continue to collect” intelligence.
Isn’t is sickening that this is a Democrat talking about a Republican President and Republican Congress bill.
Shouldn’t this be the other way around? Shouldn’t it be the Republicans fighting against it?
For the Love of all thats Holy, doesn’t anyone remember WTF being a Republican means? I mean, the word itself is derived from Republic!
This is NOT a democracy. This is a Republic. The Republican Party is supposed to stand for the ideals of the Republic.
It has been sold to us repeatedly, even by own republican Presidents, at least in recent times, that we are a democracy. When in fact we are not. And when you try to tell people this point, the unenlightened will try to say, well its almost the same thing. To the enlightened, it is anything but similar. In fact, the two are antithetical. The following says it best:
“These two forms of government: Democracy and Republic, are not only dissimilar but antithetical, reflecting the sharp contrast between (a) The Majority Unlimited, in a Democracy, lacking any legal safeguard of the rights of The Individual and The Minority, and (b) The Majority Limited, in a Republic under a written Constitution safeguarding the rights of The Individual and The Minority;”
The above is taken from the following link whinch has a pretty nice write up on it:
http://www.lexrex.com/enlightened/AmericanIdeal/aspects/demrep.html
This also tells us why we must fight the Democrats in general, and the democratists( as I’ll coin here) within the Republican party subverting it. Do your searches, identify any Republican calling this country a great democracy, you have your subversives. Any one in the Republican Party to actually hold a public office and not realize the difference and reason to uphold the Republic and denounce democracy shouldn’t be in office.
We must explain to Democrats what that truly means. To be a democrat is to be a subversive against the very foundations of the Republic, for the end result of a true Democracy is tyranny. History has born this out.
This is incredibly important.
We must bring back the Republic. And we must take back the Republican Party, d a m n i t , if for no other reason that it’s the best bloody name for the proper party and we WANT it.
And besides, I’m tired of getting things taken from me.
Habeas Corpus
Taxation
Inflation
Civil Liberties
Right to Keep and Bear
The GOP
The Republic.
Aren’t you tired of having things taken from you? By the masses? By democracy? This IS democracy in action.
Restore the Republic.

Eli posted this: “For those who want to know how our failed and continued foreign policy has undermined our national security, read this: http://www.newsweek.com/id/110937 Another reason to support Ron Paul and his non-interventionist foreign policy.”
I agree. I read the article and it made me ill. I quote:
Michael Scheuer: “I read bin Laden’s writings and I take him at his word. He and his followers hate us because of specific aspects of U.S. foreign policy. Bin Laden lays them out for anyone to read. Six elements: our unqualified support for Israel; our presence on the Arabian peninsula, which is land they deem holy; our military presence in other Islamic countries; our support of foreign states that oppress Muslims, especially Russia, China and India; our long-term policy of keeping oil prices artificially low to the benefit of Western consumers but the detriment of the Arab people; and our support for Arab tyrannies who will do that. ”
Newsweek: “You say bin Laden has laid all this out. But one doesn’t hear discussion of this in the current presidential campaign.”
Michael Scheuer: “I’ve come to the conclusion that it’s just too inconvenient for our political class. It’s much easier to tell Americans that crazy people are after you and tomorrow morning your daughter is going to have to go to school in a burqa. And we have so few people, even now, with real expertise in the Arab world.
… So I read in the National Review or the Weekly Standard about Osama bin Laden being a gangster or an idiot or both. But I have to tell you there is a touch of genius here. To pick the six elements of U.S. foreign policy that are most entwined with our domestic politics is a great piece of analysis. Because it makes frank debate so tough. ”
Newsweek: “And if we don’t have that debate?”
Michael Scheuer: “Look, we have a political class in this country that lives and dies by polls. They don’t go to the john without looking the polls. Well, polls tell us that in the Muslim world somewhere around 75 to 80 percent agree with Osama bin Laden that American foreign policy is meant to undermine or destroy Islam. Now, nowhere near that percentage is going to pick up an AK-47. But how many does it take to cause you a problem? Osama bin Laden is, in some sense, talking about a war of liberation. And it is true that for 50 years we have supported tyrannies that have oppressed Muslims, tyrannies with strong fascist elements. We hear a lot of talk about “Islamofascists.” Yes, there’s a lot of them out there. And they’re all on our side. They’re in Riyadh, Amman, Kuwait City, Cairo. Even Bernard Lewis, the patron saint of our neocons, has written that the governments that rule Muslims are basically [practicing] European fascism adapted to the sand … We can continue the current course of American foreign policy, but we need to realize that over time this may involve us in sending troops to fight on every continent as new generations of young Muslims sign up under the Al Qaeda banner. The candidates in the presidential campaign are talking about reviving jobs and wages and moving toward universal health care. None of that is going to be possible if this country is involved in some generation-long struggle with millions of Muslims. My own view is that it’s more sensible to confront the fact that our foreign policies toward the Arab world [add up to] the one indispensable ally Osama bin Laden has.”
Not ONE single mention of Ron Paul. This is disgraceful. The one man in the campaign who HAS demanded that the candidates debate foreign policy, for all the reasons stated in this interview, is being shut down and ignored. The CFR media interview the man whose book Dr. Paul has read and agrees with and is acting on and he doesn’t even mention him. If it were not so tragic it would be hilarious.
Surely we can contact Michael Scheuer and point out to him the obvious fact that Dr. Paul has been trying to raise these very issues and getting nowhere. Maybe he can mention this fact the next time he is interviewed.

Is there anything the people can do to ask for the resignations of all those GOP members who walked out of congress today? They should be held on content.

I can’t get the donate button to work, it just spins back to the beginning. I have tried every day at least 25 times for a week. It just spins. It’s a wonder the car doesn’t slide off the page!
I signed up for Ron Paul’s register and got an email with link to confirm, can’t get in, it times out before loading. I’m not the only one having a problem, several I gave the link to are experiencing the same thing.
Anyone else having this problem?

The Democrats are spenders don’t get me wrong but it is probably a good thing they control the House and Senate just in case McCain does get to be President. They will never agree and get nothing done. May buy us some time from economic failure.
Ron Paul on the other hand and of course any democrat would work well with Congress I think. I think they will be united as a party but they will know where Ron Paul stands on all issues, “Is it Constitutional, is it in the best interest of the public, and does it cost to much….
10 terms of consistent record. Ron Paul is the founder of USA2.

To David W. A..Scotland;
In response to Michael Scheuer NewsWeek Article. I too wish he had commented on Ron Paul’s comment during the debates. If you go to Michael Scheuer’s Blog. He does give Dr. Paul credit for hitting it exactly right with his comments on our Foreign Policy and why they hate us.
To bad he didn’t bring that up AGAIN in his article.

Where can we find out about this story you are mentioning about the
representatives walking out? Today?

This Naval officer will march with Dr. Paul wherever he goes! I have been giving my paycheck to Ron Paul-related causes since October. I’m waiting here in Washington D.C.–with great anticipation–for the Freedom March!

To JP:
What are the rules for active duty persons marching? It used to be OK as long as you weren’t in uniform.

Sunsara Taylor was fighting against Bush/Cheney
She seemed very passionate in her words against him before. Is she in this or has she given up because of all the abuse she took on talk shows?
She was right, and I am just now seeing some of the videos on her and the marches they did.

People Still Seek That Liberating “Epiphany”
(Apollonian, 14 Feb 08)
Dr. Robertson sir (3:58 pm, above), u lack aesthetic sense of negative logic. For article u quote just goes to show how Newsweek magazine, flagship of “Neo-con” (see Piper’s “The High Priests of War” for expo/ref. on neo-con conspiracy) power, along w. Wash. Post, is horrified by Ron Paul–Why don’t u expect this?
Newsweek is CREATURE of counterfeiters (see RealityZone.com for expo/ref. on Fed fraud), ONLY MENTIONING PAUL IF THEY ABSOLUTELY HAVE TO. To Newsweek, Ron Paul is the very devil himself.
At this pt., historic cycle must continue to culminate in way more dramatic for people for any notable response. And as culmination is painful–maybe then even more people will heed Ron Paul–such is the course of prophecy.
U presume Scheuer has some interest crucially common w. Paul. But Paul must continue to live or die by what brought him up: MIGHTY INTERNET–that’s all.
CONCLUSION: Presently people of USA continue to seek that similar revolutionary EPIPHANY which made original Apostles lose their “FEAR.” Do u remember who it was Apostles feared? Counterfeit fraud isn’t something invented yesterday. Honest elections and death to the Fed. Apollonian

To Dr. Douglas Schell:
I’m allowed to march as long as I am not in uniform, and do not affiliate myself with the Navy or U.S. Government in any way.
And I definitely won’t be the only one there–several of my fellow officers at my duty station are already talking about it! We will just be dressed like civilians.

I am great fan of Ron Paul - Please take the following criticism in this context.
It was great fact to point out that Ron Paul got the most donations from U.S. Army, U.S. Navy and U.S. Air Force.
It is even greater fact to point out that
Quote
Ron Paul’s military contributions are greater than those of all other current candidates – John McCain, Mike Huckabee, Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama –combined.
Unquote
Now, my frustration is with what has not been done. If Amounts were calculated - why can you not provide the amounts in the Press Release. It would make such a nice graphic and Grassroots will take the numbers and graphic make the world know. And I have a feeling that even some of the media may end up using it!!
(I understand that there may not be exact numbers as Employer is free form text - but you can always challenge others to try and come up with more refined numbers!)
These are the great facts - just do little more to produce the material that people can use.

Wow I actually got a break off of here because I had some guests. But I did spend quite a bit of time explaining everything that has happened and some things they were worried about, some things were hard for them to swallow, etc. The wife of my friend said she did not pay any attention to the couple times she heard Ron Paul because he immediately came off us whiney and being he was the only one against the war he must be wrong. She also told me while she did remember seeing him a couple of times she did not now he was in the election still and did not remember seeing his name on her ballot. Of course I told her if she was not use to seeing his name she might have overlooked it. But she said she would check to see.
I want to make one thing clear. I speak sometimes like I am ready to march now, lets go, this is crazy we can not sit back and let this happen, etc. However, I do recognize these forums as more of like a think tank and a place to share ideas. I will support what ever we do and in the same sense I want you all to know this does mean enough to me and my family that I will step up to the front lines if needed and something were to break. Realistically we will just rally Ron Paul and protest the fraud in our election process and do it peacefully.
But I do need to know where I stand and how serious I am about this movement. Most importantly we want change, we want our country back, we want our vote to count, etc. The things we should have and should want to regain. I am generally a peaceful guy but it is important to know where I stand for myself and for the group.
I like the energy though.

The reason for that last statement by the way is because my friends wife said she was worried when I said revolution. I told her I understood and I was no trying to install fear into her. I told her that was not my goal and why would I do something the government has been doing for years. I told her that sometimes these groups can be infiltrated just to cause riots so that riot police can break the group up or to find out information. I said it should be something done in peace but the fact is that bringing out the truths will cause the government to be most ready to quiet us and not let it get out. The groups are getting larger and different past groups should be joining us as well. Eventually in time we will outnumber them and the officers.
Today was a good example with those Republicans walking out of the house because the Democrats would not sign the bill and wanted more time to discuss it to make sure it was not constitutional. Did I hear that right UNCONSTITUTIONAL. We can make a difference and this shows. Way to go house. Those people are our representatives trying to take away another freedom from us. I have it recorded. I want to write down each of those people that walked out. Notice the fear tactic from those guys and president Bush saying it is for the sake of homeland security. The Democrats had a good response to that and said that they will not be bullied by this tactic.
I would think that after they have exhausted many tactics to break us down they would be the ones wanting to come to the table and out of respect say yes you were right and if we meet in the middle with promises to more slowly limit the government and not threaten so many jobs then we would be okay. But right now they are still trying to trick us and forcefully make us concede. I will not.
Good things I heard today: Constitution, Unconstitutional, freedom, liberty, and THE MOVEMENT as we are being called. We are almost like a recognized party folks. We are the minuteman of our time.
The Republican party is being hit from two different sides. Is it radical to think our representatives should follow the constitution?

Apollonian:
I am not a Dr. just a Mr.
While it is true that we must expect this kind of behaviour from the CFR media it should still disturb us that the interviewee said nothing about Dr. Paul’s understanding of the issue when he has read Scheuer’s book and indeed commented on it in the debates. While I agree with you that taking Newsweek to task is a lost cause the same cannot be said about Michael Scheuer. To simply say that this is the way they are and we should accept it is a kind of apathy, and the very condition that they wish to inculcate in us. When the only sentiment these things excite in us is a limp and listless sense of deja vu then it is time to take our pulse.
You say: “U presume Scheuer has some interest crucially common w. Paul. But Paul must continue to live or die by what brought him up: MIGHTY INTERNET–that’s all.”
I must say I am not entirely sure what you are getting at here but your tone “sounds” rather disdainful. Why do you presume to know what I presume? The interest that Scheur and Dr. Paul have in common is, I believe, blindingly obvious, US foreign policy. This is what I was commenting on. According to Helen (comment above) Scheuer has a blog on the Internet and has mentioned Dr. Paul on it so he is not unaware of his position on US foreign policy. But what exactly all this has to do with the Internet per se escapes me. However, since you brought it up, it is vital that Dr. Paul makes headway offline as well or his campaign WILL die. This is why the door-to-door precinct campaign is so important. The airforce may be useful in the beginning but it is boots on the ground that secure the victory.
As to the allusions about the apostles’ motivations, that is indeed interesting. However, it was no “epiphany” that energised them but the physical resurrection of their crucified Lord and an enduement of supernatural power from on high. Come March/April there may indeed be a dramatic resurrrection of the Presidential campaign, if the campaign for Congress is lost. Initial despondency followed by an exhilarating liberation from fear and doubt (as you say). The loss of the Congress seat may be the symbolic death that must come first but we must wait and see. However, it is certain, I believe, that a death of the vision must come first if it is to succeed in the end.

OTOH, it’s possible Scheuer did mention Dr. Paul and that was edited out of the final article. Unless someone involved makes a statement on whether a mention was made (or someone leaks the interview tapes), we have no way to know.

The wisest, most knowledgeable and public spirited Americans — our US military personnel — support Ron Paul so strongly that they are supporting him in a way requiring real commitment — with their wallets. If all Americans were so educated and caring about the major issues of our day, then Ron Paul would be unstoppable.

Top contributor for McCain- Merril Lynch? Isn’t there an investigation into the cohorts between these two? Someone told me it was a loan that McCain offered public funding as collateral if he couldn’t pay back. Does anyone know how the investigation is going? Or where I can find more info on it?
