  1. Eric Dondero Says:

“Stong showing in Nevada”? Is that how 12% is now described as a “strong showing.”

Why no mention of Romney’s 52%?

I would say it’s a strong showing because Paul came out ahead of nearly all the other MSM candidates. That, for Paul, is victory.

What a good day for Dr. Paul. 2nd in Nevada, making it difficult for the MSM to ignore him without appearing biased. He also won the NJ Straw Poll - almost 60% of the vote! And there is more coming….

EVERYONE don’t pay attention to Eric Dondero Ritterg.

He use to work for Ron Paul. He wants to run against Ron Paul in or Congress.

He was one of many who took advantage of Dr. Paul and thank goodness Dr. Paul parted ways with him.

He’s probably now behind the smears looking to Dr. Paul out of the race.

Not on his terms NEVER. PLEASE IGNORE Eric Dondero.

You still think that voting for RUDY (Mr. 9/11) is the best choice for Libertarians? You said so a while back!

Let’s see: Um … 52% of Nevada “Republicans” are Mormon. Romney took 52% of the Republican vote. Romney is a Mormon.

Listen Up. The major candidates are running out of money but WE THE PEOPLE are not.

Romney can right his own checks.

Hillery can count on Bill to drum up another $10 million.

I am very happy about a 12% showing!!! That is up from 6% here in MI earlier this week. This was the very first time I bothered to vote in any primary election and I am in my 40’s! We need to talk this up and support rEVOLution with our time talent and treasure! Also would suggest making FORMAL WRITTEN complaints to the FCC about Fox News’ conduct. Quit complaining and DO something. One final suggestion is becoming delegates to the convention this summer, lets make sure Dr Paul doesnt get shafted there like some folks in New Hampshire tried to pull…..squeaky wheel gets the grease.

We need to do everything in our power to get Ron Paul elected…as a Republican or Independent!

  22. Mark Anderson Says:

Because, Mr. Eric Dondero, this is Ron Paul’s campaign website. You expect us Ron Paul supporters to go out of our way to support other candidates without some reciprocity here? I didn’t see any of the other candidates pointing out the unfairness of Ron Paul being excluded from some of the candidate forums. And furthermore, try looking at the results between both parties. Not only did Ron Paul have a strong second-place finish in Nevada, but his totals exceeded that of the the Democratic first-place finisher, Hillary Clinton.

  23. Karen B. Says:

Silver finish in Silver State is great! People are starting to listen. All I have to do is mention his name and people ask for more. When we are done talking they’ll ask why they haven’t heard much about him. I tell them he is such a threat to the mainstream - the only way to get his name out there is for friends to tell friends. I send everyone to the website. Once they hear of him - they’re his. His humble truth speaks. He is real. Real people can tell. Join the rEVOLution! Support Ron Paul Monday - give more!!!

  24. Kim Says:

Dondero asks why Romney did so well in Nevada. Fair question. Go to the CNN Election Center Entry Polls for Nevada and look at who voted for Romney:

    http://www.cnn.com/ELECTION/2008/primaries/results/epolls/#NVREP

You will notice that 24.7% of the voters were Mormons who chose Romney. Stated another way, 95% of Mormons chose Romney and in Nevada (the southern border state of Utah) that is a huge demographic.

You will notice that of the 45% of the voters were over the age of sixty, 56% of them chose Romney, and only 7% of them chose Ron Paul– by far his weakest demographic, at least in Nevada, seems to be retired individuals who have a vested interest in not rocking the boat.

Interesting that the people least likely to be on the internet (e.g., the over-sixty set) are the ones least likely to vote for Ron Paul.

First I want to say WoW, I am 50 and know why I am for Dr. Paul but the outpouring of the younger voters gives hope for this country! Thank you for see what I have been seeing and caring for this nation. Yes it was a strong showing anytime you beat two of the “front runners”! LOL the MSM is still just mentioning that Dr. Paul was showing ads in Nevada! No mention of his placement or total votes, BUT WE KNOW! I notice that Dr. Paul not only speaks to me, but to everyone that has not given up on the USA and the Constitution.

  28. Roberto Gonzalez Says:

Since they can’t touch him on his ethics or his record, isn’t it time for an ad comparing his record to McCain, Romey or Rudy? A direct comparison. On the borderline of negative ad. And even if it’s a negative ad, it’ll get people talking about him and Dr. Paul will be back in the spotlight for something other than his ability to raise funds or the letters. If there’s anyone who can sling mud without worrying about it being slung back is Dr. Paul. He’s a man of high standards, but he’s got to break this media blockade somehow.

Greetings from Sweden. Observing the process from outside the US, but still with access to your major news channels, I can only second all the outraged comments about unfair and unbalanced coverage. Moreover, and perhaps much more troubling, your confidence in your own voting process/system seems to be slipping.

American voters seem a bit jaded from the reports of ballots missing, Diebold machines malfunctioning, etc. Perhaps you’ve managed to get used to it and live with it, but for someone taking in the entire topic all at once, it’s absolutely shocking! Perhaps a lot of RP followers today consider themselves outraged and outspoken, I think you might need to get a whole lot more outraged and loud before this is over. How can RP win if your votes don’t count?

Dondero responds with thanks for “civil response”.

You know nothing about being CIVIL.

How CIVIL are you coming onto this website and responding the way you did about Dr. Paul’s results in Nevada?

You’re a JOKE. That’s not being CIVIL that’s telling the TRUTH…another thing you know nothing about.

My wife is a big Howard Stern fan and says Howard has been talking up Ron Paul a lot recently. What’s the chance we can get Ron to be interviewed on air with Howard’s 10 million listeners? (My wife warns that Howard may also ask Ron a few too many personal questions about his *** life and interest in other activities ‘on the fringe’ of usual conversation)

Hej Marcus: I am 100% Swedish descent (Last visit to Sweden 3 years ago - I probably won’t be back because I will refuse to get the Real ID). It makes me proud to see the interest from Sweden and all the other foreign countries. I’m really not surprised to see support for Dr. Paul worldwide. Everyone understands the truth no matter what language it is translated into. We are mad as hell. Just trying to be calm and collected as Dr. Paul would handle it. We are mad as hell and will take care of this by canvassing our neighborhoods, talking with everyone we come in contact with about Dr. Paul (whether face to face or email), and boycotting advertisers on Fox and CNN. (Money talks - or should I say the lack of it). Also - don’t forget the $ bomb tomorrow. Give MORE!

Coming in 2nd in a state that only had two candidates campaigning in isn’t a good showing. And keep in mind that Ron Paul campaigned there, and only beat McCain by less than 500 votes.
I support Ron Paul 100%. But in an honest way. There are so many things wrong with his campaign. But it is only fair to say, that Ron Paul is running the most honest and dignified campaign than any other candidate in 20 years. (since he ran last time).
But, people aren’t listening to him. It probably has something to do with the 9/11 conspiritors, or the fact that he only appeals to the younger voters (And let me remind you, that less than 50% of the people from ages 18 to 27 even vote). It also has something to do with the way Ron Paul talks about the gold standard, and abolishing the IRS. Most people don’t understand those things..

Ron Paul is the greatest thing that’s ever happened to this country. Just a closer look at the bill he authored in congress is living proof (that died in committee). And for America to be begging their congressmen to stop funding the War in IRaq, to have “pro-war” candidates (including Hillary and Obama) leading in all the polls and primiaries is just plain stupidity. Personally, I can’t understand it.

America should be so lucky to have a man as great as Ron Paul leading this country back to the right road and out of it’s own quagmire.

  35. John D. from Warren, MI Says:

What have we got to lose if we’re losing anyway?

We need hard hitting TV ads. Shocking ads that talk about the paper money issue, the bankruptcy of the government, Real ID, torture, eavesdropping, and controlled media.

If people can’t be awakened, they’ll go along with the Newspeak. We donated a lot of money for TV ads. It will all be wasted if they are ‘me too’, ‘nice guy’ ads. They need to be 100 times more hard hitting on the issues.

  36. LM Says:

I think what all Ron Paul supporters need to remember is that before the campaign started not that many people knew who he was other than the people in his congressional district and some people on the internet. Add to that having to campaign in the face of a constantly hostile media that alternates between ignoring him and smearing him and you will see that what has been accomplished so far is actually quite remarkable.

Also, while I don’t mean any disrespect to other Ron Paul supporters, some people appear to be under the impression that Ron Paul can run a 50-state campaign on only $20 million or so dollars. This simply isn’t realistic.

Has the official campaign made some mistakes? Yes, and they have admitted it. However, there is realistically only so much they can do when they can’t be sure how much money they will continue to receive.

Therefore, I ask my fellow Ron Paul supporters to continue to finance Ron Paul and his campaign by making whatever donation you can to the money bomb planned for tomorrow (Monday, Jan. 21).

After all, if we don’t support Ron Paul financially, who will? FOX News?

Hej Karen :) Good luck with your continued efforts! Being Swedish I am physically unable to stop myself from doling out good advice to anyone non-Swedish without being asked for it, so my $0.02 is you need to go from complaining to fighting, and from striving to be noticed to striving to be winning. You really owe it to yourselves. Don’t boycot Fox advertisers. Sue Fox instead. Demand recounts and sue anyone and everyone you suspect of vote fraud. I saw a Youtube clip of RP delegates being turned away at the door to the voting location, and just standing there without calling the press, the police or, well, fighting. Why? “We, the people are the rightful masters of both Congress and the courts, not to overthrow the Constitution, but to overthrow men who pervert the Constitution.” - A. Lincoln. Best of luck!

  38. Lane C Says:

Ron Paul needs to “NOT” talk about the paper money issue nor the media control. People that listen to the message about “paper money”, may understand it. But then forget about it the next time they go to the store and use their credit cards. And as far as talking about the media……..That would be biting the hands that feeds you the crums. And where are people going to hear his message about the “media being bias?” From the media.. Not to mention the fact that if he starts talking about the media, they will put him on permanent “iggy”.

I’m no compaign expert. But I know what is appealing to most people. I used to be in sales. And what Ron Paul needs to sell:
    1. His voting record.
    2. Bills that he authored. Like the birthright citizenship bill. And the Bills that he authored that would lower taxes to teachers, waitress’s, blue collar Americans, and the elderly. The bills that would Stop illegals from collecting Social Security.
    3. And he needs to make a point to address John McCain for not supporting those bills.
    4. He needs to point out that while he was working hard to get these Bills through congress, Huckabee and Romney were allowing illegals, welfare in their states.
    5. There is a lot of dirt on the other candidates. And it needs to be made known by Ron Paul. After all, it’s not lying, nor is it against the law.

When I was a home sales man. I could never break the law to sell a house. But, I used every tool I could pull out of my bag to get a person into a home that they could afford, and make as much money as I could off of the deal.

Alot of people don’t care about politics. Name recognition plays a huge roll in voting. Like it or not, thats the way it is. So people need to know how hard, and what Ron Paul has been doing in Congerss for 10 terms. They need to know why the people in his district keep voting him in, year after year after year. When a
Governor gets elected twice, thats two campaigns and 12 years. To get 12 years as a congressman, he has to run 6 campaigns.

Those of us who keep up with Ron Paul, and politics, need to understand something else that’s very important. We usually associate ourselves with those that keep up with politics also. But the new people we talk to, the ones that don’t keep up with politics, need to have a reason to listen. They need to be given a reason to even bother. But it needs to be put to them on their terms, and in their own way. Make it their idea that Ron Paul is the best candidate.

When I talk to people, I always ask them, whats important to them first.

God bless this country, and God bless Ron Paul. We might not even deserve his leadership.
