Introducing: “The Daily Dose” Campaign HQ Blog
November 27th, 2007 by campaign-updates

The precinct leader program has now been expanded so that if you sign up, you can call voters in Nebraska (May 13 primary), West Virginia (May 13 primary), and Idaho (May 27 caucus). These are voters that have been identified to have characteristics that indicate they could vote for Dr. Paul, and this may be the single biggest thing you can do to help Dr. Paul in these upcoming states.
If you were able to attend today’s Arizona State Convention, post your stories here.
If you were able to attend today’s Republican Convention, post your stories here.
This email has been sent out to Utah supporters, but in case you are in Utah and missed it, here it is (just update the two days away to one day away):
Ron Paul supporters are anxiously preparing for the Utah State Republican Convention in Orem, Utah, now just two days away. Some will attend the convention as state delegates, some are running for National Delegate or National Alternate, and some will attend the convention to distribute flyers, etc. Lowell Nelson and others are coordinating the efforts of a number of Ron Paul people, and they need your help!
If you are a state delegate, and if you have not heard from Lowell, please send him an email message TODAY (at lowell@netdocuments.com ). He has a list of the Ron Paul candidates for National Delegate and National Alternate. We need everyone to vote for these candidates, and only these candidates, so our contingent at the national convention can be as strong as possible.
If you are not a state delegate, but can attend the convention to help, please let him know ASAP. We need people to distribute convention literature to delegates as they arrive at the convention at 7AM. Some delegates will have House or Senate caucuses to attend, so they won’t be free to distribute flyers. Your volunteering to help will make a positive difference.
If you cannot go to the convention, but can telephone state delegates tonight and Friday night (to identify like-minded, liberty-loving individuals), please email Lowell right now! He can give you a list of state delegates to call.
One of the most important things we can do at the convention is defeat the proposal to change the rules to unbind the Utah delegation from the winner of the UT presidential primary. The rule as it stands now, is that the UT delegation is bound to the winner of the UT primary. As you know, Mitt Romney won the UT primary and has earned and deserves the 36 votes on the first ballot at the national convention. The rules for the primary were in place and the voters knew what they were when they cast their vote and it is our responsibility to honor those rules. Changing the rule will require a 2/3 (super) majority.
And if the rule is changed, there will also be considered a resolution to bind the entire Utah delegation to John McCain on the first ballot of the national convention. Passing this resolution will require a simple majority. If the party rule is not changed, then this resolution would not even be considered. But if the party rule is changed, we must do everything we can to defeat this resolution.
Much will be happening today and tomorrow. We need your help to move forward the cause of Liberty. Get in touch with Lowell Nelson, and be a part of a team whose objective is to defeat the party rule change, and to get a bunch of Ron Paul supporters elected to represent Utah and Utah’s values of limited government, economic freedom and personal responsibility at the national convention.
Announcing our first official miscellaneous thread! Still feel free to post off topic in other threads (as long you remember to label!), but here is the specific thread for all comments, links, stories, lyrics, etc, not related to whatever subjects are currently on the blog.
The gun has been fired, the gates are up… have at it.

I know that it’s very easy to post a comment that has nothing to do with the original subject being blogged about, and a lot of times good information is presented this way, but it can be a little aggravating for people when comments cover a thousand unrelated topics, and I’ve noticed that aggravation recently. I have found many good pieces and tidbits through unrelated comments on blog topics, but for the future, I would just ask that if your comment covers another topic than the one being reported by the blog post, please put a short header of “Off Topic” on the top of the comment. To make it easy for people, maybe you could put a quick summary of what your comment covers, i.e. “Off Topic - Cool New Ron Paul Video.” Thanks!
… says more about the state of our media than a thousand blog posts, surveys, or studies could ever dream of doing.
Update: Jonathan Bydlak wrote to remind me that as bad as this video is, it still pales in comparison to the awe-inspiring :50 sec video of Obama talking on a cell phone on vacation. We should count ourselves fortunate that CNN was willing to tough it out to bring us this exclusive.
I suppose now we know why the major media was too busy to cover Dr. Paul?
