Introducing: “The Daily Dose” Campaign HQ Blog
November 27th, 2007 by campaign-updates

I am not quite sure that any of us will ever fully grasp the magnitude of what happened during this past election. An obscure ten (soon to be eleven) term congressman from Texas turned the national debate upside down and not only challenged the status quo, but exposed it. No amount of words will ever quite be able to convey exactly what went on. Like so many events in history that are forever etched into the minds and hearts of those who witnessed them, you had to be there during that time to know what it really felt like.
Looking back, we accomplished what many said couldn’t – and shouldn’t – even be attempted. We clasped hands as total strangers, became a family as we worked together side-by-side night and day, and emerged a fighting force to be reckoned with.
Each staff member and volunteer’s time, each sign posted, each call made, and each vote cast all combined to send a message – We want our Republic back, and we’re not going to allow you to trample on our Constitution anymore. We’re Ron Paul Republicans, and we’re here to stay.
Thank you for your support, hard work, and dedication. History will judge us not for what we have accomplished, but for what we do with what we have accomplished. The genie has been let out of the bottle, but it is our job to make sure he never gets crammed back in it. The future of this revolution – and the fate of liberty in this nation - is up to us. Generations of children to come should be able to see when they read their textbooks that when many of their ancestors let their liberties slip away because of fear, misinformation, and soaring rhetoric, a group of dedicated, principled citizens stood up and did their part to fight back.
Our work is far from over. Now that we are assembled, we must stay together, and look to add new revolutionaries. Every movement in history that changed the world for the better did it with a consistent, unwavering effort that reached out to one person at a time. If each of us just sought to bring one person in, we could soon accomplish the goal of reclaiming the Republican Party and restoring our Constitution.
We will not go away; we will not be silenced, and we will not be stopped. Dr. Paul’s announcement is not the end; it is the beginning of a new chapter and the dawn of a new day for those who believe in freedom, peace, and prosperity.
The presidential campaign is over, but the revolution has just begun.
Tyranny, like hell, is not easily conquered; yet we have this consolation with us, that the harder the conflict, the more glorious the triumph.
- Thomas Paine, The American Crisis, No. 1, December 19, 1776
